Happy New Year to all our lovely customers, wonderful staff and fabulous family and friends. Thank you for all your support in the past 15 months. Small family business do happy dances when people support them........here's ours.... (not sure about the lads though, think the Saturday jobs has knocked the dancing out of them, but don't be fooled they are dancing in their heads). Our wish for you and all is a healthy, peaceful and happy New Year, may we all do our bit to help those less fortunate and may we all have enough. As for the cafe...We will be closed from now to Monday the 7th of January as we have some essential work to carry out. See you all Next Year with exciting possibilities. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

What a hidden gem ,highly recommended !

Lots of very tasty choices and cater for such a variety of tastes ,wife is on a very restrictive and the staff went out of there way to consider and cater to her needs .... the craic was mightly service is amazing its like going to ya friends for a cuppa so relaxed...as i said to justyn and elayne i believe it is (apologies if im incorrect)

Go to so many chains and staff are like robots and u feel some times like another number rather than customer so i say thankyou to Hidden city cafe enjoyed it and if ya in the city of Derry/Londonderry go and see for yaselfs !!

What a great place to pop into for a vegan lunch and a traybake treat. Highly recommend!!! The food is amazing, the atmosphere very friendly and welcoming. You can see that the chef is very passionate about the dishes he prepares. We're totally obsessed with the seitan bap!

This place literally makes my heart happy. The food is amazing ! I variety for Vegans is something this city has been waiting for! even my little boy loves this place ... He wants to work there when he's old ! And the staff are the most amazing and warming people to talk to - will always make a point to say hello and make conversation <3

So lovely to go somewhere with creative veggie options! Derry is well overdue somewhere that has more than 2 veggie options on the menu and even more rare, options beside risotto or goats cheese tart. Staff are really friendly. Menu is extensive with interesting combinations and really reasonably priced. Only teensy negative (sorry!) was that I found the cafe a bit cold.

Popped in here today for the first time and cannot wait to go back and try everything vegan they have to offer! The staff were so friendly and helpful and seemed very passionate about their food. We had the seitan sandwich and it was DELICIOUS!!! The seitan is homemade and the flavours with the miso sauce were spot on. The owner (I think) told us that in a few weeks' time they will be opening on evenings and offering tapas, very excited about that. I am so glad to see us veggies being catered for at last in Derry with new and exciting foods.

Only discovered hidden city cafe a couple of weeks ago and have been three times since then! Hidden gem with chilled out atmosphere, great background music, lovely staff and amazing veggie food which is different to anything else I've tasted locally. Really good coffee too if you don't fancy a feed �

Lunch here yesterday with friends. I was aware it was here, but had not tried it. Fantastic food, great music playlist, decor aesthetic great and lovely staff. It's definitely a destination for us now. Cheers, Monty.

Imaginative healthy food that nourishes the soul. Eat here and you won't want to eat anywhere else! Tried jackfruit for the first time � And hubby had seitan for the first time � The coffee is great, it's well balanced and mellow. What's more, the soundtrack and service are both stellar �

I absolutely adore this gorgeous wee place! The vegan food is amazing. The owners are wonderful, friendly & very welcoming. I totally recommend this cafe. Perfect!

Great wee spot, lovely vegan breakfast this morning and the vegan donut and cupcake I got to takeaway were beaut too � defs be back, thanks folks

Following a walking tour of Northern Ireland where the people and the scenery were equally stunning but where I struggled as a vegetarian to eat well en route, this place was paradise. We went back two days running during our stay in Derry and would have gone there in the evening if only they'd stayed open!

We had our first experience of cetan there and my very first vegan cheese. We ate the best sandwiches ever in this place and I only wish we had somewhere local to us that was as dynamic, committed, passionate, imaginative and downright delicious as this place is.

Finally got to visit yesterday and i wasn't disappointed! The vegan seitan teryiaki was just amazing..so tasty!...loved it...my veggie sister tried the vlt and loved every bite! Great vibe and atmosphere too...staff so friendly! Definitely recommend!

Excellent food to suite all people dietery needs.I had the special of the day Red Pearl Shrimp was amazing�The staff are so friendly and helpful nuthing was any bother.We will be back again

Believe the hype. I've eaten here twice now and the food is outstanding. Not just because its so nice finding vegan options that's not pasta and tomato sauce, but because the food is amazing full stop.

Ate here on Saturday. The sandwiches and salads we had were spectacular, all vegan too. Justyn and the staff couldn`t have been more informative, attentive and helpful. Give it a go, you`ll love it.

Amazing place, can’t wait to get back and have some more! Highlighted dishes teriyaki seitan and the jackfruit.



Staff were on point for being its first weekend and evening opening, great selection of soft drinks and local roasted coffee and Suki teas



Best of luck for the future and I’m sure I’ll be back sooner rather than later!

Amazing cafe! Had the vegan BLT which was delicious. Food is so fresh, healthy and reasonably priced � great coffee and atmosphere will definitely be back to try more of the menu �

I had a wonderful 3 salad and greens combo for lunch. It is great to see some truely healthy lunch options in the city. Thank you! I withheld the fifth star as my lunch mates tamari chicken baguette was too bread-y for them and they didn't enjoy lunch to the same degree. (A thinner baguette would have been easier to handle and chew.) I am glad they had the option to order non vegan, while I could enjoy the salad options. Will definitely be back.
