As a team. we provide superb service from happy and helpful staff and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

ABOUT THE JOB!
As a Bartender you'll be serving guests, recommending drinks and upselling, and keeping the bar clean, tidy and well stocked. You'll provide a warm and friendly welcome and an efficient bar service to guests. You’ll be able to demonstrate your product knowledge in a friendly, confident and professional manner, spotting opportunities to up sell products effortlessly. You’ll be working hard to make sure our guests have a great experience!
You will be required to be flexible with working hours, available evenings & weekends and able to cover 2am finishes. The job is a zero hour contract and hours per week will vary depending on the business needs.
The successful candidate will also be available to work over the Christmas period, Including Christmas Day & New Year's Eve.
ABOUT YOU!
If you have bar experience that's great, if you have a positive, friendly can-do attitude then that's even better! Bar experience preferred, but full training will be provided.
Team players, friendly, professional and customer focused, good communicator, works well under pressure and enjoys working in a busy environment, high level of attention to detail. Car driver preferred due to hotel location & late finishes. Must be 18+ Meets national Minimum Wage.

What an amazing day we had yesterday! The Higher Trapp is a beautiful setting for a wedding. Myself and John were balled over with everything Matt and his wonderful team did. Nothing was too much trouble - (special mention to the lovely lady behind the bar, who went above and beyond to help my sister in law with her children). The food was delicious, the hog roast in the evening was a big hit with everyone. The reccommend DJ was FANTASTIC, highly, highly reccommend you book him. Thank you so much for giving us a memorable day! �

Well, what a venue.



We had our wedding yesterday and were stunned at the level of service, professionalism and friendliness that The Higher Trapp offered. From booking Donna took the lead and sorted everything out for us constantly going out of her way right up until the last day.



Katie was the lead for the wedding and worked her absolute bottom off all day. She was non stop from start to finish and managed to get everything perfect and just how we wanted. She even managed to make it snow and dragged us our wellies out so we could go and have a play and some photos.



I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, for an event, wedding or just a nice meal.



Thank you for making it the most memorable day of our lives. We’ll surely be sending you the photos once they come through

Well what can I say I had the time of my life, can not thank Jamie & staff enough for looking after us on our wedding day (16/03/2018) everything run so smoothly, they made sure everything was perfect and it was just that absolutely perfect � thanks so much again guys �

We stayed here overnight with our lovely dog Millie. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and millie� got spoiled. We ate dinner and breakfast with our girl with us and she even got a treat from the staff at breakfast with 2 sausages.

We stayed in the annex and it was very warm so didn't get a great sleep but happy to pay the price for a good dog friendly hotel. Thank you to the staff you were great.

We had the most beautiful and perfect wedding yesterday at the higher trapp. No stress what so ever as the staff handled the day amazing and everything was where it was meant to be when it was meant to be. Thank you so much for making our day perfect. Mr & Mrs Chappell xx

We got married here on Saturday and we couldn't have asked for it to go any better the rooms were decorated stunning the service was amazing

All staff was amazing throughout the past year but a massive thank you goes to Katie who did an amazing job throughout the day and made sure we was all relaxed

We cannot thank you enough for making our Wedding day yesterday Thursday 28th December so perfect from start to finish. All staff work so hard and go that extra mile. A big heart felt thank you to Danny for looking after our guests and us so well you helped create a perfect day that we will cherish forever

We cannot recommend the Higher Trapp highly enough as a wedding venue. We knew we wanted to get married here as soon as we saw the venue and met the team at a wedding open evening. From booking the team have been great; always getting back to us quickly with any queries and helped us put together a package that was perfect for us. Jamie and his team were great letting us set up the day before as they didn't have a wedding on that day. They made sure their maintenance guy was available in helping us put up some decorations at high level and they made us feel at ease. Matt was great in going through our requirements for the day. Matt and his team really excelled on the day; making sure everything ran to plan but they weren't over powering either. They cleared our decor and boxed it up at the end of the nighy but saved us a lot of hassle. A lot of our guests commented on how accommodating the team were.

The food was delicious. We had stuffed mushrooms, roast beef and mango and passion fruit meringue. The meal portions were just right and the children were also catered for with half portions.

The venue is beautiful. The grounds are stunning and we managed to get some good photos outside when it stopped raining. The inside of the venue is also lovely and great for indoor photos too.

Thank you for making our day as special as it was. From start to finish it was perfect. The pendle suite was flawless, looked absolutely beautiful. Can't thank the planners Jamie and Matt enough, they both made my day so relaxing and was by my side if I needed anything. I also loved the gift they left in our bridal suite. All my wedding photos are back and I can't wait to show them off in the gorgeous grounds!

Such a lovely place, restaurant value for money. (We came for the Easter meal)

Have stayed before and will definitely stay again. The staff are an absolute credit to a lovely place keep up the great work!

Second to none.



We have just had our wedding this weekend and although it was the bride who was the star of the day, the hotel was then second. Firstly from the original consultation with Donna who left no stone unturned and showed us all options to Jamie and his team were very thorough in the detailing and nothing was too much trouble. We were updated and consulted on the day and it certainly took the stress away. The wedding breakfast was incredible and we thoroughly recommend the shortcake dessert. The bridal suite was also a bonus and the champagne on ice at the end of the night was a nice touch. If we could do it all again we would certainly do it at this hotel and can’t wait to return for our anniversary next year.

Me and my new husband dale had our wedding here on Saturday, Jamie and all the rest of the team were amazing and everything was perfect,

We had the best day ever the room was decorated exactly how I wanted it, the food was gorgeous and the sun even came out so we could have the ceremony outside� truly was a magical day so from The Greenwood’s a massive thank you �

Had the most amazing day yesterday when I got married at the higher trapp. Everyone was so helpful and organised it couldn’t have gone any smoother. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was magical.

Cannot thank Jamie & staff enough for everything you did on our wedding day (23rd Feb). The day went perfectly... the room looked amazing, the staff serving were excellent, we were kept informed with everything and nothing was too much to ask. Im gutted its over but we truely had the best day of our lives. The grounds are stunning, blue skies and sunshine in February was perfect for our photos although it was freeeeezing! Thank you again for giving us a day to remember ����� x

Absolutely perfect day from start to finish. Jamie was an absolutely fantastic planner and made sure our day was as perfect as possible. The room looked stunning and the staff were always on hand to help with any request given. Highly recommend as a wedding venue, thankyou so much for everything you did.

Ok hotel overall, food ok, room ok etc. Staff rushed off feet for dinner, so slow service.

Wouldn't particularly choose to stay again. On a positive not, view from room good.

Food lovely, lacking in service and cleanliness, the tables not wiped and floors not vacuumed. Our room had no hand wash and was dusty in places. Dead flies on window sills not cleaned away. We stayed in the annex away from the hotel, no umbrellas available for us to use walking across the car park in the rain.

Attention to detail lacking. Apart from minor details we had a good time.
