What a wonderful stay. Double birthday celebration. Met by William at Reception. Smiling, curtious and effective. This gentleman knows the meaning of service Industry. Thanks you so much for a memorable weekend.

User

Stayed for 4 nights while atteing conference at Olympia (20-25 min walk).

Room not large but ok for my needs. Clean and tidy although some areas of the shower area looking shabby. Shower lovely, hot and powerful. Towels and bed linen good too. Room cleaned immaculately every day. Breakfast amazing. An incredible choice of everything you can think of including vegi cooked breakfast, fruit, cereals, bakery, porridge..........

All staff polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend

User

Lovely stay, all the staff very very pleasant but Matteo was so very caring and kind, great waiter/ receptionist, credit to hotel 😊

User

Great location and service. Lovely room and bathroom but the bed and pillows were a little lack lustre. Felt hard and lumpy and no spare pillows in room but the air conditioning made up for it. I was a guest on a tv show so didn't have to pay but not sure I would consider it 100% if I had. Good experience nonetheless. Thank you

User

Fantastic hotel gorgeous breakfast plenty of it too nice actually haha best we have had comfy rooms

User

Well I can only so far speak from initial impressions as just got to the room but I can sadly report the following. We are on our honeymoon and if this is a double room then I am a monkeys uncle the bed could maybe “MAYBE” fit two small children not two adults. We are staying in room 5040 we hired a car for our stay in London and the parking at the Hilton is extreme to say the least £32 a day!!! FOR A GUEST!!!! This is disgusting every other hotel we have been in thus far £10 was the max. So safe to say I will be looking for another place to park. If you are thinking of staying here don’t bring a car or if you do read my comments as I will be moving the car if possible. Haven’t tried room service yet so will see how that goes.

My advice from 10 minutes of being here is find another hotel.

****UPDATE*****

So I had just spoken with the manager who gave me a ring to discuss this review. She offered to upgrade the room to a king room and apologised for the parking but did explain it is a third party company so can understand that. She did give complimentary parking and a bottle of wine as well which I really do appreciate.

My faith in Hilton has been restored. Thank you.

Visited all day Saturday for an event. Staff polite and helpful

Excellent venue for the purpose. The training room was well equipped with digital technology

Will be back soon

The staff are great . The hotel getting tired around the edges. Needs a lot of investment.

Corporate rates could be better but hey it's my home from home.

User

The food and copious supplies of it, was lovely. Being vegetarian its not always easy to find a filling breakfast so full maks Hilton. It was a bit warm, both in the room and restaurant. It could do with being a few degrees lower. Staff were smashing too, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

User

Thanks so much for such a great stay. The breakfast is really good, also the staff is friendly. Special thanks to George from the bar, who made an amazing job. See you next time!

User

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. The location is great and the service is good. My only feedback is this property is getting a little tired and in need of renovation. The rooms are beginning to feel dirty and warn out. It also needs a new restaurant as there is not enough variety on the menu.

User

Don't know what people are whinging about, never happy some of you lol. Just got back from London, stayed here for a night in a twin room with my boy. Met by a friendly helpful receptionist, room was clean, beds were comfy no qualms on that at all. Only thing to pick at was the air con was bit rubbish, just felt like a normal fan blowing air, not cold at all. This time of year not really an issue, wouldn't like to have been in that room in mid summer in the 30's. Would come again

User

Some rooms are great some not.Fantastic buffet breakfast.

User

Our meeting room had about 200 people and no air con. Nearly passed out. Please in future ensure the air con works to its optimum level

- Great club lounge, happy hour till late evening , food, alcohol, water, tea/coffee, pastries etc

- Hotel caters mostly to groups, conventions, business travelers ..I found the place extremely crowded and somewhat noisy.

- Although the hotel is called Hilton Kensington, the location of the hotel is actually in Sheperd's Bush; a business district which is over 4 miles from Kensington and central London area ..

- 5min walk to the new Westfield mall, and some nice restaurants/bars around it.

Rooms need some improvements and better decor.

The breakfast room was noisy, not attractive, and I didn't find the buffet food good or tasty ( the scrambled egg was cold and tasteless)

Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

User

I rarely leave a review and rating this a low 2 stars of 5. I have just arrived back after a 4 night stay in room 522. I expected alot better for the price per night of 142 Euros. the hotel room decor is tired needs updating as it is more suited to a 2-3 star rating. It was selected due to its location for Olympia exhibition centre.

I had to question if the room was a mistake to the reception as double room is very small & bathroom tiny, the worst part was a common comment about the toilets flushing. It is an hour between uses before you can actually flush a toilet. This is not ideal when sharing a bedroom with your significant other. The water pressure is excellent so there is a plumbing issue in a lot of rooms seems to be commonplace.

We requested a change of room or repair of which neither was actioned. For a Hilton hotel overall very poor standard. A serious update of the rooms is strongly advised.

Service at reception and in Bar and Restaurant was good however reception did not deliver a replacement room as agreed. The public areas are a higher standard than the rooms. I would not be inclined to book again unless it was a last option.

If more than one person in a double, it is not ideal.

I have visited Hilton London Kensington on Wed morning around 8am. I didn't stay at the hotel however I had a meeting in a cafe area for an important interview.

The gentleman at the concierge desk didn't give me any eye contact as I approached the counter, despite there was not anybody in the queue in front of me. It took couple minutes of me standing literally right in front of him, whilst he was doing something on the computer, to actually say hello to me and ask me how he could assist. I only needed to be shown where the actual cafe was - which was pointed to me in fairly rude manner (as like 'isn't it obvious where the cafe is?" kind of one).

Once I entered the cafe place, there was a lady making a coffee already for somebody. So I patiently waited for her to finish with that customer first. Also this member of staff seem to be in foul mood. Her responses to me were abrupt and in angry manner. When I got served the coffee, I asked for wi-fi code, which she didn't even turn around to look at me to confirm she heard/acknowledged my request, just continued walking towards the coffee bar. So I actually didn't know if she heard me, or not. After couple minutes, she returned back with wifi slip password.

Since I was attending an interview, the recruiter agreed/wanted to cover bill for my coffee. Before my departure, I explained this to this waitress, and pointed at the recruiter, I even offered to walk over to him to confirm this. She had none of it and looked at me like I was about to run out without paying. Which is definitely not my style. I understand her worry, however I was in no hurry so she could confirm that this is the case. At the end I ended up paying because the situation made me feel pretty uncomfortable.

Before I left I filled in a comment card at the front desk (concierge) to rate my experience. I commented on poor customer service however up until today nobody bothered to contact me back to apologise. I left my contact details.

I was pretty disappointed, and if I was not on the way to another interview, I would have requested to see a duty manager to discuss my experience with him.

Having been working in leisure/hospitality sector for around 17 years, to me this was a very disappointing experience and these particular team members at your hotel need to be retrained on customer service skills and positive body language - smile and hello can carry a long way!

User

Rooms are consistently filthy, worn, and many wreak of mildew. I've been ringing the front desk on and off for about 45 minutes and they never answer. Not one time that I've stayed here and I've spent many nights in the hotel, has the front desk answered a room call.

User

I’m only staying because my travel agent booked but I would never recommend, it’s too far out of the city for my liking, the decoy is tired needs updating. Rooms very small & bathroom tiny, bed squeaks & mattress very old not doing my back any good. For a Hilton hotel overall very poor standard Service in bar mediocre & long wait at entrance to dining room for breakfast. I would not stay again but unfortunately I have 2 more nights here this week & then two more nights later in month already booked unfortunately again by my travel agent.
