In 1981, Hobbs was established in Hampstead, London. A green village in the midst of a city that never stops. It will always be our spiritual home, wherever we are in the world. Modern cuts, feminine tailoring and heritage craftsmanship – inspired by London, designed here and brought to life by our in-house atelier.

Went into the Leeds store to buy the Nina Flamingo shorts. Got told they don’t sell them but could order them for me and have them delivered free to my house. They have just arrived 2 days later.

I now need a top to wear with them, do you know if the Ruby top in either tropical green or flamingo pink would match the colours in the shorts?

Right. I always go straight away to Hobbs when I have to dress up for a special occasion and I never fail � but why you have all these negative reviews? I quite never use to order clothes online as I prefer to try them before buying but I can see lots of people are buying from you online and the service is poor. This is not nice from a important brand like Hobbs, try to work on it guys. My experiences in Hobbs were and are always positive.

I’m really surprised to see the negative comments about Hobbs and delivery. I have never had any issues and have always received my packages really quickly, even when we lived out in deepest darkest Cheshire. I’m not doubting the other shoppers, maybe I’m just lucky.

I've been a Hobbs customer for about 20 years, have always loved the brand & still do. I'd like to say how fantastic Charlotte at your Manchester store has been for me. I've had to source an outfit at the last minute & Charlotte had been utterly amazing, telephoning stores across the country to source shoes for me & offering impartial advice on various outfits & combinations. The service offered by her has been faultless & I cannot thank her enough. Other stores could learn a lot from the high level of customer service offered by Hobbs. Thank you!

I have just visited the Hobbs store in St Albans. It's the first time that I have ever shopped there or indeed any Hobbs and am not a keen shopper at all. Usually I find any shopping experience stressful - be it Harvey Nichols or H&M - and leave feeling fairly rubbish about myself.

What a difference today was. The lovely woman (unfortunately I didn't get her name. Curly hair, slim and slightly older than her colleagues) made my day. Yes there was the usual "can I help" but in no way pushy. She was friendly and super helpful. She instantly gauged my size (correctly and actually a size lower than I thought...hurrah!)

Everything she picked looked nice on me, fitted well and I could have easily bought them all. I ended up buying three dresses that I would never have selected for myself. Despite turning up somewhat worse for wear after my work leaving drinks, and looking like I hadn't even brushed my hair, I felt better about myself in the mirror wearing those clothes that were selected than I have for a long time.

I really hope this message reaches the St Albans store. I understand that your job, in retail, is to sell clothes...but I have had so many negative experiences, felt so low about myself afterwards that I want to say a huge, huge thank you. I bounced out of there and feel ready to slay my new job on Monday.

Amazing experience in Hobbs Manchester today! What a fool not to have taken full advantage of the generous 20% offer and bought the entire co-ordinating ensemble which was put together so well by the very helpful assistant. Thank you for a very positive shopping experience, just wish I had a Hobbs in Nottingham!

Have just returned home from your Cheltenham store feeling very dissatisfied and let down by yourselves. My husband bought me a Hobbs gift card for my birthday and I went to the shop today to treat myself. Having made my selection I went to the till and presented my gift card to pay and was told it held no monetary value. I produced the activation receipt and a screen shot of my husbands bank statement showing proof of purchase and was told the transaction couldn’t be completed until your IT department had looked into it. After 45 minutes I left the store without my goods and with a gift card that doesn’t work despite paying £50 for it! � a refund wasn’t even offered either! I’ve been told to wait for a phone call once IT have got to the bottom of it at which point I can try again! Hobbs this is less than satisfactory. I have been a loyal customer with yourselves for quite some time and have spent rather a lot of money with you over the years. Right now I’m inclined to never shop with you again �

This is for their Guilford store. I had a very lovely experience the first time I shopped there and purchased a high number of items. Today I went in and found at least three more dresses I wanted to purchase. I did three laps around the store and no one even greeted me. They were not very busy and much more concerned about putting back items that have been tried on than taking care of potential customers.

Ordered 7 items of clothing and paid extra for delivery last saturday. I've only received 2 items of clothing, however I have been charged for all 7 items. I've emailed and called (on hold for 20 min then cut off) but there is no response. Worryingly questionable customer service for a supposedly reputable store. If I don't hear back by tomorrow I will be raising this with the credit card company.

Next day delivery is a total waste of time. I ordered a ‘rush’ delivery. It was supposed to be couriered by Hermes (the worst and most unreliable courier that I know). They haven’t even attempted deliver today and already state that the item will not arrive until tomorrow. The call centre is ‘currently receiving a large volume of calls’. Not in the slightest bit surprised! The item was ordered yesterday morning. There is NO excuse for this total service failure.

I've made an international order on January 23rd and still didn't get my parcel. I've rote several times to the Hobbs client service and got only one reply a month ago that my parcel shall arrive shortly. I had to call to the Hobbs hotline 3 times, but no one offered me a solution. As a result I still don't have neither order, no refund. Thats a pity as all my previous experience with Hobbs was very nice.

I went into the Hobbs store in Ringwood once to try on a dress that I had been wanting for a while. The minute you walk into that store you feel harassed but I guess some people like that kind of service. The real problem was that when I was quietly minding my own business a shop assistant came into my fitting room (completely uninvited) and asked how I was getting on. I was slightly shocked that she had just bowled in without my permission so just said ‘oh fine but it just doesn’t suit me’. I though she would leave at that point but no, she started tugging at the dress and even shoved her hand in the top and pulled it outwards, her helpful remark was ‘well, you just need a bigger bust’... she is lucky that I didn’t give her a piece of my mind. I am lucky that I have the self confidence not to care about that silly woman’s opinion but it could have been entirely different. Imagine if she had said that to someone with confidence issues? Awful shop. Lovely clothes (if not ill fitting for those who are less ample than others)

I see other comments share the same negative opinion about Hobbs and its delivery services. I had a very bad experience with an order, which was delivered by DPD twice to the wrong person and it took me 2 hours on the phone over two days to track down the parcel. That was after I paid extra for speedy delivery. All Hobbs said is that they might raise this issue with the delivery company (DPD), IF I couldn't recover the order (which meant going through the building and asking who has my package). This is completely unacceptable from a company whose products cost a lot of money. I will never buy anything from Hobbs and I have advised people that I know about the lack of respect that you get from Hobbs. Well done, Hobbs! By the looks of it you're losing clients by the second!

I own your blue and white stripy dress currently on your publicity materials. The first of these I returned last week as the entire bottom hem had come undone on the first wear. To your credit it was exchanged without question. Now examining my replacement dress after one wear I note that the belt is coming apart as an insufficient seam allowance has been provided. On closer examination of the seams of the dress it is coming apart in at least one place. I will be returning this dress to store tomorrow. For the cost of this item I am appalled at the quality - both of the initial sewing and of your quality control process.

I ordered a parcel from you at the very beginning of May. Your customer service sent me a message telling me that the parcel was dispatched on the 7th of May. 10 days later I finally received an email with an apology, which also mentioned that the parcel is now with the courier.



The order is still impossible to track and I was hoping to take the clothes with me for a business trip starting this weekend - I didn't expect it may take Hobbs more than 3 weeks to deliver an order to my doorstep. One would hope that you would at least look into what obviously is an order gone wrong and sorted it out asap. I have ordered from you several times before, but this will be the last time I think!

I have ordered shoes from Hobbs on your online shop and I have no idea what is the status of my order. I have been waiting for my parcel to be dispatched for a week and 5 minutes after I got the confirmation I received an email that you received my return (of a product I have never seen!). Could you please let me know what is going on with my order and if it is possible to buy anything in your online shop to be delivered abroad?!

How I wish I would have checked this site before ordering. I don't know who runs this company but they need to overhaul their shipping and customer service. I ordered two dresses from their U.S. site, I doubled checked to make sure the sizing was U.S. as I've ordered internationally before and I know sizing is different. I finally received my dresses yesterday and both are the wrong size, as they sent me UK sizing. I have sent an email explaining that this is not what I requested and I do not want to pay for return shipping to the UK as this is not my fault. I understand the store in Greenwich, Connecticut accepts returns but frankly I'm afraid I will never get a refund since they seem so disorganized. I hope to hear back with a resolution to this.

Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired for. Have sent several emails over the past few days, and nobody bothers answering. Not what I expected from such a top company. Parcels are also not being sent out in a timely manner, which maybe a problem if you need your items by a specific day. Very disappointed and while I adore your clothes, don’t know if it’s worth the waiting and being ignored by customer service.

Awful service. Parcel arrived late on the last 2 occasions. 8 working days is ridiculous. All your competitors have it nailed in 2-3 days. Just why do things take so long to get into the delivery system?? I’m waiting a call back from a manager so please don’t tell me to get in touch. You can contact me to apologise! And let me know what you are doing to rectify the string of complaints on here about poor service’
