Tomorrow is the day we regretfully say goodbye to Tegan and Dylan who have worked with us as wardens since Easter. They have been fantastic and great fun to work with however they will move on to an exciting trip around Europe in their campervan 'Nelly' before heading back to New Zealand next spring. All Fired Up will be firing up their pizza oven for you all this Friday and Saturday. Delicious pizzas in under 2 minutes, it can't get easier than that! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

Nature Safari's Den Building and Campfires activity is tomorrow morning! 9.30-11.30am, Sunday 19th August, 6-11 year olds can join in with a den building contest, toast marshmallows on a campfire and enjoy plenty of other woodland activities. £7 per child. Parents don't need to supervise but adventurers younger than 6 years must be accompanied. Locals welcome but please park nearby as we have no parking on the campsite. Congratulations to Ben who has represented GB at the European Age Group Triathlon Championships in Glasgow last weekend. He was very happy with finishing 11th sporting the Holme Valley Camping logo all the way!

Last minute cabin cancellations! Two pet free cabins available from 9am tomorrow (Saturday) for 1 night. Both cabins sleep 5 and cost between £50 (for 2 adults) and £65 (5 adults) for the night. Check-in is normally 3pm but due to a 2 night cancellation, early check-in is welcome. Check-out time Sunday is 11am. Everything including fridge, cooking facilities, plates, cups, etc is provided you would just have to pack bedding and towels! Please note these cabins have no running water to them. With the beautiful sunny weather last weekend and the delicious pizzas from the Tin Box Pizza Company we could have been in Italy! Kampers Kitchen had their well earned break and they are now back this weekend serving their fantastic food. Have a lovely weekend!

If you have booked to stay with us over the bank holiday weekend, we have so much planned for you! Saturday, adults and children can master their archery skills during our Have-a-Go Archery sessions. Sunday is jam-packed starting with a Nature Safari event in the woods for children aged 6 to 11 years or for the younger ones, local author Claire Culliford will be running a free children's environmental story-time session for 3-6 year olds. Then Sunday afternoon, back by popular demand, The Duck Race will take place! We hope you have a fantastic weekend with us.

We're excited to share our news...Huddersfield based author Claire Culliford will be visting our campsite this Bank Holiday weekend with the first book in her environmental series, "Hector Helps Clean Up The Park". Come along on Sunday 27th May, 10-11.30am and listen to the story to find out how Hector has fun cleaning up his local park. Afterwards, there'll be colouring and drawing activities and a chance to win a free copy of the book! This a free event suitable for 3 to 6 year olds. We hope to see you there!

For the younger adventurers staying with us over the bank holiday weekend, Nature Safari will be running a fantastic woodland session on Sunday 27th May, 9.30-11.30am. What a fantastic Festival of Folk we've had in Holmfirth this weekend! Thank you to all performers and festival goers for choosing to stay with us and the organisers for putting on another fabulous Holmfirth Festival of Folk. We're already looking forward to the next one!

Yet again an amazing trip to Holme Valley. This was the first time on my own with the children and the staff were brilliant from start to finish, even offered to help put the tent up before the rain started. This morning the staff were fab at dealing with an issue we had lastnight with other campers. We have booked to come back and we can't wait! Everywhere spotless as always and the site was quiet enough to enjoy some much needed rest. Thanks and see you again soon� � xx

We stayed for 2 nights last week and it was lovely. The kids enjoyed the fishing and going to the well stocked shop and the food cabin. Very peaceful at night and within walking distance of a couple of nice pubs. We met some lovely people and hope to return soon.

Stayed here for one night at the weekend after a 23.1 mile charity walk. Was nice to have the campers kitchen to order food and then get set up. Pitches are large and plenty of space between tents. Then camp is in a lovely setting. Toilets and showers clean although shower does not run very long. Can be awkward getting washed. Thinking about booking a couple nights with the kids. They'd like the adventure.

Our family love this place. Its absolutely stunnin. Staff are amazing the place is so clean. And the river is amazing we love paddling in there defo comin bk :) x oo and the ducks are fab. Not at 6 in mornin though quackin near our tent bedroom lol xx thanku owners and staff for a fab getaway everytime we come. P.s we have also met some great ppl while stoppin here :) cya soon xx

Have had a lovely time here it's a little gem of a site set amongst trees, pond and river. One of toilet blocks is a little dated but very clean and showers are lovely and warm. The other toilet block is new and is excellent. There's also family bathrooms to hire. Theres also a little shop on site. The owners and staff are lovely and so helpful. We will definitely be back.

Had a fab time this weekend camping here, kids loved the duck pond and playground, lovely that they could go play and we could sit from our tent and watch them. Toilet block was really clean and showers too � had a lovely meal from kampers kitchen, great touch to have that there!! the only downside was that it was very noisy in the night, groups were very very loud until 2-2.30am, it seemed that there was no one around to make sure this didn't happen, we would definitely book to come here again and just hope that there were less rowdy groups!

First ever visit and first time out with our caravan. Have camped on others with a tent but we were very impressed with this site.

The kabin kitchen. Is a fabulous touch. The owner is very thoughtful and worked extra to accommodate people.

I would 100% recommend and definitely will be coming back.

BRILLIANT campsite. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean and had everything like dish wash, laundry, showers, water points, recycle points. Great dog walks throughout. Ponds for fishing... only regret is that we camped 1 night and not 2! Can't wait to go back!!! Thank you to the whole team ���

1st time at Holme Valley can't believe we haven't discovered this place before!! Beautiful setting, great dog walks. Staff very friendly and helpful lovely new shower block the only thing wrong with the showers that they are not on long enough so I had to hold the button down all the time which was quite difficult whilst trying to have a shower, do they have a setting which is adjustable if so please re adjust!!! Thankyou can't wait to come back.

Not having stayed here for at least 6 years, we were looking forward to an overnight stay........typically the weather had changed, but we were given a friendly welcome and were impressed by the lovely clean new toilet block on the bottom field. Thanks to the info sheet, we walked along the river once we had set up, then started the bbq. Unfortunately, one of the inflatable poles in our tent developed a puncture and the tent slowly collapsed in front of our eyes.........a big thanks to the wonderful people who offered us advice and entertained the little ones while we packed up! Looking forward to a return visit once the tent is mended!
