An holistic approach to horse training and care. Horseworks is run by Ruth Fisher and Debbie Glennan. We have been working together for over 14 years. In the beginning we worked mainly with "problem" horses. Over time though these have taught us that there is always a reason and we just had to find them to help the horse, rather than tackle the problem head on. This has developed a very holistic approach where we work closely with a group of people we trust. From therapists, body workers, saddlers, farriers and vets we have a very trusted network of people that we use to support our work. Debbie is also a Qualified barefoot trimmer.
Our own horses have led us to seek help and have taught us a huge amount. 14 years ago Ruth started training with classical trainer Patrice Edwards to help her own horses. This started a journey into classical work and an obsession with the horses natural crookedness and how it effects them day to day. Ruth has ridden with Charles de Kunffy and trained at the Training The Teachers of Tomorrow (TTT) Trust . We have both Whipped in for over 7 years to The Four Shires Bloodhounds in the Peak District. As well as being lots of fun! It has taught us about keeping horses happy and healthy while doing a strenuous job.

Individual lessons available at our yard ( or your own by arrangement) Clinics held in the Isle of Man regularly and happy to travel for groups of 4 to 6

We sometimes have spaces for horses to stay with us for intensive training, either to kick start the training or to focus on specific issues.
