Hotel du Vin...Birmingham...2003...last minute visit..I was travel worn...tired....it was small room, the last room to be had... ok! Upon entering rooms compact comfortable quarters with everything I need...and then I entered the bath from heaven... pristine black and white tiled room and soaking tub ...toiletries... I didn't leave the room that night...ordered fine delicious food from the hotel restaurant, had a fine wine from the well stocked minibar. Hotel du Vin a lovely surprise with champagne bar, wine cellar and top rated french bistro. Add to that a perfect appointed spa this hotel stole my heart that september day...even 10 years later still yearning for a proper visit....
