Congratulations to those who were successful in the ballot for tonight’s screening of the FIFA World Cup BST Hyde Park. Unfortunately tickets are now all gone. Please do not travel to Hyde Park unless you have a ticket as you will not be able to view the football. The roads in Hyde Park are now closed so please use public transport to get to and from the park.

A song inspired by the Serpentine and Hyde Park, full of soft summer feeling. What songs remind you of Hyde Park?

Enjoy an evening out with the family, cooking up campfire snacks while learning about Hyde Park's nocturnal animals from our expert education officers.
As night falls, we'll go on a walk to learn about the bat species in Hyde Park and use bat detectors to locate and listen to their secret calls. Bats are not the only creatures out at night - owl calls may add to the evening's atmosphere and perhaps a curious fox will cross our path as well! Back at The LookOut you'll get to take a look at the species in our moth trap.

Our Discovery Day activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!). There’s even a carpeted corner for those not yet walking, bringing nature inside with animal soft toys and puppets.
There’s a nature trail to follow and plenty of arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained including a sweep netting session, trying their artistic hand with a massive meadow mural and making their own seed animal to take home. Or you can just relax on our sun deck and pause a moment to take in the natural world that hustles and bustles around us.
Drop in any time between 11am and 3pm to take part in one of these exciting activities.

Drop your young explorer off during the summer holiday to spend the day exploring Hyde Park's waterways.
They'll join in in a pond dipping session, visit the Diana Memorial Fountain for a chance to cool off and discover the hidden river which runs under Hyde Park.
Suitable for children aged 8-11 years

Follow in Peter Pan's footsteps and experience the magic that inspired J.M. Barrie to write the Peter Pan plays and stories.
Find out how Peter made his perilous journey from Bird Island in the Serpentine to the magical shores of the Long Water - you can even have a go at crafting your own miniature clay vessel. There'll be plenty of surprising and magical activities to delight you as you walk!
Walkers are encouraged to dress up, feel the magic and get in the mood as we look ...at Bird Island, Peter Pan’s statue – and avoid Captain Hook!
Children of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

This hour and a half tour takes place at dusk, as London's bats are coming out to play. Be guided through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park at night to search for bat species such as common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles and noctules. Play a fun quiz to separate bat facts from bat fiction and enjoy using bat detectors that make the bat's echo-location calls audible to the human ear. Bats are not the only creatures out at night - owl calls may add to the evening's atmosphere and perhaps a curious fox will cross our path as well!

Not as big as my beloved Central Park in NYC but beautiful nonetheless. The full loop is a nice 3 mile (4.8 km) run. I live over on the East Side of the park in Mayfair but love the Kensington Gardens over on the West Side.

Lovely place to stroll around. Lots of wildlife. Nice cafe by the river. Beautifully kept gardens. Could easily spend a whole day here, Love it!

User

Love Hyde Park. Go down to visit a couple of times a year to party in the park at the well organised events that they hold in the park

User

I was here in May. The flower garden is so beautiful and so many places to picnic or lounge on deckchairs under grand old trees or near the serpentine lake without it feeling overcrowded as there is vast space everywhere. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Also took one of the Santander bikes and had a cycle round the track. Glorious and worth it.
