Ic Kabaddi Club Description

Kabaddi is a sport that is growing all over the world. The recent development of the ProKabaddi League in India, shows the global interest and draw that a sport of this intensity and excitement can bring to the global stage. At Imperial College, we aim to promote Kabaddi in the UK and hopefully showcase and propel our players onto the international stage.

The Imperial College Kabaddi Club was founded in 2013 by Keshav Gupta. In its first season, we entered into the National Universities Kabaddi League (NUKL) alongside LSE, Aston and Manchester Kabaddi Clubs. We were also crowned NHSF London Zone Kabaddi Champions in November 2013. Following this, we finished 2nd in the NHSF National Sports Competition 2014.

In the 2014 /5 season we finished 1st in the NUKL and won the NHSF London Zone competition and the NHSF National tournament. Our 1st team was unbeaten - a fantastic achievement.

We had the amazing opportunity to play Poland's Kabaddi Team on our recent trip to Warsaw.
The match saw Poland winning by 75-68. An extremely aggressive and exciting match, which will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Be sure to watch it.
... Thank you for hosting us Kabaddi Poland!

We had an incredible showdown with the England boys yesterday with some especially stellar performances from our freshers! They beat us narrowly, 61-54, and we could not prouder of the way we played nor the boys representing us at the World Cup! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 💪

As part of the London Uni team, Karmanya, Roland, Parm and Sharukh from IC Kabaddi; Argha and Jea from KCL Kabaddi and Kishan from Manchester Kabaddi took on England kabaddi today as they prepare to head to World Cup Kabaddi, Melaka 2019. What a match it was! Some truly fantastic #kabaddi. England raiders were brought down at times and they were seen getting all out towards the end of the game! We put up a fight but the England team posted a score of a solid 53-40, and we couldn’t have asked for better opponents! Good luck lads! #readytoraid #khelkabaddi #InUnityThereIsStrength
