It may be soaking wet outside today but a heatwave is aparently coming! That in mind we thought we would prepare with some useful tips on staying cool & comfortable in the coming week so hear goes...
• Shut your windows and pull down the blinds when it is hotter outside. You can open the windows for ventilation when it is cooler. Opening curtains, blinds & windows during the high heat hours will only increase the indoor temperature.
... • Avoid the midday heat & identify the coolest room in the house.
• Drink plenty of fluids.
• Wear loose cool clothing, a hat and sunglasses if you go outdoors & don't forget the suncream (even if its overcast!).
• Check up on friends, relatives and neighbours who may be less able to look after themselves and watch out for babies & children they are more susceptible to the heat effects.
• Finally, remember our little furry friends! They can overheat quickly so ensure plenty of water is available for them to drink and a shady spot to relax in!

These pictures are from a recent home boiler service... The pictures show the build up of metallic corrosion within the boiler system in a 12 month period. The advantage of a adding a magnetic system filter can be clearly seen. We include magnetic filters as standard in all of our new installations and follow up on each annual service after.
