Manchester Hexagon Tower staff were totally and fully immersed in the energy and spirit of Christmas Jumper day... with a worthy cause: Save The Children. So many took part, and we couldn't fit them all in the photo!

Manchester UK staff enthusiastically embraced the Christmas spirit on Christmas Jumper Day. Apart from bringing an abundance of colour and vibrancy to the lab, donations were plentiful with over £180 being raised for the Save The Children charity, and generous amounts were stockpiled for the food bank collection: all in all a great day was had by all.

Carnival atmosphere under the Eiffel Tower! About 20 runners from Intertek France participated last Sunday, the 11th, in the La Parisienne race in the center of Paris. In a festive and colorful atmosphere, our racers swapped lab coats for racing T-shirts and had the pleasure of running together in the Challenge Company category while showing their support for the fight against breast cancer. Good job team!

Intertek's Andy Sealey led the fantastic Intertek UK team to second place in the tough and muddy MAD5K race for Help for Heroes Official last night. Intertek UK staff swapped lab coats for lycra in the Millbrook MAD Run 2016 which involved 5km of tortuous hills, mud and more hills. Well done all! http://bit.ly/2cBbVAq

Colleagues from Intertek Middlesbrough braved the choppy waters of the River Tees and took part in the recent inaugural Tees Rowing Race, a fundraising event for Teesside Sea Cadets UK, High Tide Foundation, Teesside Nautical Studies and The Mission to Seafarers. Despite having no experience of rowing, proven by getting tangled on the start line, the team finished a respectable 8th and vowed to return next year to better their result.

Over 2.5bn disposable coffee cups are used in the UK each year and the number globally runs into the tens if not hundreds of billions. In the UK, 99.25% are sent to landfill or incinerated simply because the cups aren’t recyclable. That is until now. We’ve been helping UK packaging firm Frugalpac bring the world’s first recyclable coffee cup to market which is currently being trialled by Starbucks UK. #wastenot http://bit.ly/2caW6nB
