About Invisible City

The Invisible City is about hacking connections between nature, culture and social networks.

Invisible City Description

‘A conceptual Matryoshka doll of culture-within-nature-within-culture’ (Fortune). The project intends to create a sanctuary for culture comprised of biophilic pavilions designed to capture the awe that we experienced while living in self-built tree dwellings. The project aims to use these pavilions as incubators, generating creative responses from artists, thinkers and performers.

The project aims to act as an intervention into the nature of the city, remapping the territory between nature and culture. Hack the Invisible City! Burst the seams of virtual worlds, manifest ideas and occupy the invisible.

The Invisible City is an art project by Shuster and Moseley inspired by their meeting up a tree on a protest site in the Brecon Beacons some 6 years ago. Patroned by Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, and Charles Knevitt (Former Director, RIBA Trust).
