What a fabulous restautant. We had five meze dishes between 3 of us and it was divine. Authentic good and a cosy interior with a special feel about it. Would definitely go back!

We first nipped in for a drink and snack once to kill some time, we’re struck by the friendly nature of the owner and staff, and the excellent music and promised to return... which we did with four friends, two of whom were delighted with our choice as they had been before and love Isabella.

Great food, enormous portions - you need to be hungry to tackle most mains -authentic atmosphere, food and hospitality. The best that the wonderful, but sadly now difficult, country of Turkey has to offer.

Third time at Isabella and the third time we have had a fantastic meal. Go for the bit if everything for enough to satisfy 2 people and you will be in meze heaven.

we like the Isabella .... beautiful decor, gentle Turkish music playing in the background .... we chose to have the chef's choice.

Wow, lovely starter of fresh salad, houmus, yoghurt with herbs, warm pita bread to mop it up, warm gently roasted aubergines and peppers, delicious halloumi .... Eventually we were ready for the next course of juicy meats in a tagine: lamb so tender and tasty, ok, the chicken was a tiny bit on the dry side but still delicious ... there seemed an endless supply of food. The Turkish red wine has to be the best I've tasted (Bull's Blood Hungarian comes close) and at perfect temperature.

we finished the meal with, what else, a perfect Turkish coffee and some delicious Turkish delights (I'm an addict of home made perfect sweets)



wish I lived nearer so I could just pop in for a quick bite to eat or a coffee ..... have to wait until I'm in Hastings next
