Psalm 37:4 says, "delight in the lord and He will give you the desires of you heart" He continues to say it in Matthew 6: 33 that "seek ye the Kingdom of God first and it righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you.
... If you have prayed for something for a very long time yet no answer maybe you are ignoring the will of God.
