gosh 2014 seems like last weekend...xx
An open letter to Jordans Village residents from The Beaconsfield Society:
Dear Jordans residents As part of the fundraising to fight the SBDC Local Plan which :- Removes Jordans village from Green Belt and does effectively the same for Penn Village because it allows "infilling", and takes 227 acres of Beaconsfield Greenbelt and builds housing, shops and offices that will increase the population by 35% without increasing GPs surgeries, secondary schools, trunk roads or rail... bridges such that Beaconsfield will be one big traffic jam; and builds on the Beaconsfield centre car park; we've called on our American cousins in Pennsylvania for help too.
Please would your residents contribute and forward this to anyone they think will support the campaign such as the London West and London North West Area meetings and Amersham. The Beaconsfield Society hyperlink below will take donors straight to the website. http://www.beaconsfieldsociety.org.uk/
We stand a good chance of defeating this grab for Greenbelt IF we raise enough funds to get expert & legal support. For example we could ask for a judicial review of Beaconsfield Town and South Bucks District Councils decisions and process now, but we cannot afford it until we've raised our minimum budget of £ 75,000 of which we have £50,000.
Please let me know of any ideas your residents or their contacts may have to help this cause.
Best regards Dennis Elsey 7 Wilton Road, Beaconsfield HP9 2BS 01494 673752
