Alan Keddle - After having learnt many other styles of Martial Art like Karate, Ninjitsu, Boxing and Freestyle Kempo the Director Alan Keddle began Muay Thai in 1991 and quickly began fighting and winning. As he was already experienced at other styles he ascended quickly and eventually took over what was called the Lumpini Gym in 1994. It remained as the Lumpini Gym until 1997 when Alan became European champion taking the title off the veteran fighter Eval Denton. The gym then became known as Keddle's Gym and as the ninety's rolled on the name Keddle became synonymous with Muay Thai in Great Britain, and many other parts of the world, both through the many title victories and the number of fighters competing. In 2000 Alan opened the full time base of Keddle's gym here in Orpington and decided to introduce stick-fighting and Mixed Martial Arts (cage fighting).
