Please please please talk to them or even better get them booked on to a Junior Medic course! Learn together at a local venue or at home with an expert junior medic trainer!

First Aid Friday this week is highlighting Defib Feb!
πŸ‘€CAN YOU SPOT A DEFIB? πŸ‘€
The more people that know where defibrillators are located the more likely they are to use them in an emergency!
... So here's our challenge...
Find a Defibrillator and take a picture (or selfie) and then post to our wall using the hashtags #defibfeb #keepabeat and lastly the town or location of where the the defibrillator is located. for example #Basingstoke.
On the 28 of February we will then pick one lucky winner who'll get a free place on one of our First Aid for Parents and Families sessions.
Get as many pictures to us as you want, get your kids involved too! Lets raise awareness and save more lives! I'm starting off with my daughter and the defib we found in Morrisons Basingstoke. #defibfeb #keepabeat

First Aid Friday!
Do you have any weaning tipsβ“β“β“πŸ‘‡
Some children take to weaning like a duck to waterπŸ¦†, others give you a fright every meal time😲!
... Gagging is a completely normal reflex. In fact it is a built in safety mechanism to help prevent babies from choking!
It can be loud and scary but is normal. Its when they are silent that you need to worry!
Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some of our tips and tricks when it comes to weaning and what to do if a child does choke.
Did you have any weaning tricks or hacks that you want to pass on?
We would love to hear them πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ˜

πŸ‘€Hazard Hunt πŸ‘€πŸš§
Does your child understand what a hazard is? ⚠️
... Hazards are something that has the potential to cause harm.
Sometimes these hazards can easily be made safe and sometimes not.
Spotting hazards is a skill that all children should be encouraged to do.
πŸ‘€Ask your child to spot 5 hazards that they can find in your home. πŸ‘€
Let us know how they got on with spotting the hazards and if they could see a good way if making it safe! (photos welcome)
Hazards - SPOT IT!
Good Luck!

Loved this course, so glad I did it. Really engaging and I have come away feeling that I could make a bit of a difference if anything did ever happen

I would like to thank KeepaBeat Basingstoke for three superb courses, which they ran at Baby Sensory Barn today. They ran sessions for our clients and local parents.

Ashley also trained eight members of my team. She is a superb trainer: well organised, informative, and able to share information at at level that we were able to understand and remember. The session was well paced, with time and opportunities to practise, and to ask questions.

I was very impressed, and I'll be recommending KeepaBeat to all of my clients.

These are skills and knowledge, every parent, or person that works with babies and children, should know.

Thank you so much.

User

I can not recommend this course enough, in only 2 hours I came away with a lot more understanding and confidence on how to prevent and what to do in case of an emergency.

Thank you Ashley - you are amazing!!

User
