We booked through a budget sun holiday so was expecting very basic, was very pleasantly surprised, really pleased with the caravan, clean and comfortable, the staff were always friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think is that the pool is a bit small especially when you have adults and bigger kids playing with beach balls the full length of the pool and I had young children with armbands trying to swim ( this is a negative against inconsiderate guests rather than the park ) changing area very small, we had to wait for a cubicle.

Overall very happy guests

User

Very friendly and helpful. Excellent service in every part of the park. Very secure and child friendly park. Lovely food and staff that can’t do enough for you. Loved it so much we have brought a van. Looking forward to coming up whenever we want now.

User

Just got home from a short break at Kessingland we had a great time. Site is clean and all of the staff were friendly and helpful I would recommend and I will return. Thankyou to all of the staff that run a great ship

Just arrived home from the most amazing week of staying here with my husband & our 10 year old son in one of the caravans in pebbles way!

Had to write a review as I was totally impressed throughout our holiday as after reading some previous mixed reviews from people before we booked I’m glad I went with my instinct and booked to see for myself!

Firstly all the office staff on arrival was polite and friendly and very welcoming, our caravan was cleaned to a very high standard

Clubhouse had an amazing atmosphere every night keeping the kids & adults entertained with non stop fun throughout the night ( Special mention to all 5 troupers’ I never seen a group of hard working reps as them before , they didn’t stop throughout bless them but all was very friendly and all the kids loved them everything else on site was perfect as well apart from the chip shop that was the only thing I didn’t really like but seemed like not enough staff in there on the busy nights and food was rushed but once again I can’t fault the place as it could of been just me as I’m rather fussy when it comes to food!

Prices of drinks was very cheap as well in the clubhouse

Boat house had amazing food but could work out expensive for larger family’s as not got a great kid menu on offer.

I would 100% recommend this place for a family get away’ to the point I’ve booked already for next year before I left

User

A great big thank you to everyone involved in making yesterday afternoon the perfect way to spend a Sunday. Even the weather gods were kind! What could be better than spending time in the sun with good friends, live music from our talented troupers plus free cocktails and the friendliest staff you could ever wish to meet. Special thanks to Grant, Charlotte and Carl for organising it and to all their staff who always look after us so well. And finally a word to Ben - can we do it again please.

We stayed in a lodge, lovely and spacious for 4 adults and an excited 3 year old. Clean and well maintained and stocked.

Entertainment on site for my daughter was good, she enjoyed the morning pipsqueak and the evening with the Starland Krew. Evening entertainment for adults was good and varied.

Onsite restaurant was nice, good meals and reasonable price.

Pools were both heated, but indoor one a bit cramped and very few lockers.

Laundrette: tumble dryer £2.50 and clothes came out more or less as wet as they went in.

Play area: good. Nisa: good for essentials (Morrison’s 5 minutes drive up The road or co-op in kessingland)

Kessingland Beach: very stony and not much sand, but Lowestoft not far and great beach.

All in all, a nice park, but we personally would prefer somewhere a bit closer to local stuff, most things aren’t walkable. Next time we will choose a different location.

User

We had a lovely caravan.. surprising as we had dogs.its was clean and tidy. Staff all pleasant and helpful.when we had meals we were told if we had a wait. So had a choice if we wish to order. food all good. The only down side was we had two 12 year old grandkids with us. There wasn't any entertainment aimed at them.but overall we had a good holiday and will return...

User

We are here on 5 day sun holiday break caravan was enormous for just two of us nice clean van but curtains hanging off rail the site lovely the emtertainment was ok much better than martello camp jaywick we stayed at at least had adult singers albeit the staff who have to entertain the kids anddo caberet ect they are all very freindly staff the chippy not grt hubby ordered sausgae in batter n chips came back burntthe sites next to beach but very pebbly n duney to get there up n down so didnt go again all in all a nice camp n caravan

User

Just come back from a short break at the Park. The weather was grim but still we had a good time. The park is well run and the caravan was well stocked, clean and warm. The entertainment was good from what we saw of it. Having a 2 year old meant we didn't make it to the adult entertainment but the childrens' was good. Well stocked on site shop that surprisingly wasn't too expensive. Good swimming pool. We had food in the restaurant and that was the only thing that let it down. Food was only lukewarm and the order got messed up but on the whole a good stay and we're hoping to come back next year

User

It is good and fun for everyone and the food was nice but only thing what was not good was the mash potatoes as it was powers mash and it not you expect in a restaurant that was nice but a part from that the people are all nice and the Entertainment was good as will we would come back but the smash is the only bad thing to moan about

User

Great park, chalets and caravans very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Restaurant staff very helpful, bar staff excellent. House keeping checked that we had everything just after we arrived. Great location. Great staff all round.

The only reason this is not a 5* review is the amusement machines. The kids wanted money all the time to play on them, and with 10 kids in our group, it spoilt the break a bit. Perhaps if the machines were in a separate area instead of just outside the entertainment lounge, it would have been easier to keep the kids away from them.

User

Was an owner a kessingland for many years but due to the increase in site fees etc and the rules gave up our van 11 years ago , took my daughter there for her 19th birthday as she wanted a trip down memory lane , must say it no longer had the vibe it used to have as the whole place is just full of caravans ! Gardens are kept lovely and the little pond is looking amazing , boat house looks lovely and the food was also good ... we stayed in a chalet which was tatty but comfortable , still guess they will be pulled down soon making space for yet more caravans !

Recently stayed for a short break at Kessingland holiday park through Sun Holidays. Clean and functional accommodation (a few ants spotted in the kitchen as to be expected) with good facilities provided. Maintenance issue rectified within 90 minutes of being reported which was very much appreciated.

Purchased entertainment passes but was never asked once to show them when we visited the pools, the clubhouse evening entertainment venue or the on-site restaurant. Feel duped into buying them as it was stated that no on site facilities could be accessed without them, which simply was not the case.

Kessingland beach is a pebble/shingle only beach, but Southwold beach is a sandy beach a short drive away.

Disappointed by some of the pool staff who were rude with an immature “put upon” attitude, as well as a few of the on-duty lifeguards who spent the whole time chatting amongst each other rather than paying attention to children playing in the pools. Seagull excrement (old and new) everywhere in the outdoor pool area - unpleasant when you are walking barefoot back to the changing rooms.

Would recommend for families on a budget but only if booking through Sun Holidays as the rates otherwise (peak and off-peak) are too high for what you get.

Not a great first impression, being directed to park our motor home in an area where another van was stuck in the mud...which is what also happened to us. The staff were helpful in getting us unstuck, which took about an hour, which was not fun & could have been avoided. With a limited number of hard pitches available resulted in us then being directed to park on the road, which gave us & other tourers limited privacy.

Not impressed with the ladies facilities, hand dryers & hairdryers not working, and a rather grumpy looking man, who I assume was a member of staff walking in to the ladies without introduction, was rather unsettling to say the least.

I hope the park can use this feedback to improve the site & facilities for future tourers.

Not a great start to our holiday.

Here at me Moment camp is ok but no inside pool (don’t need it) . But the beach is a DISGRACE I have never ever seen so much dog poo everywhere as what’s on this beach it’s a shocker . It’s a mix of grass stones and some sand (Limited) . Caravans are very clean food is fantastic bar and entertainment same as all camps . For us only let down was state of beach .

User

just got back from a weekend away here. will not be going again. whole place is in need of updating. our caravan has issues, curtains hanging off the rails when we arrived, the fridge door doesn't stay shut so we need to keep something heavy in front of the door, gas fire doesn't ignite which is a major safety issue as your able to turn gas on and leave it running without it igniting, this resulted in it being bloody cold at night. the kitchen and lounge was infested with ants, the cutlery was left out when we arrived with ants on them. paid extra for entertainment passes which where never checked so could have easily got away without paying. pool changing rooms don't look like they have ever been cleaned, Saturday was very hot outside but pool wasn't open till late due to low staff? I've still had to pay a price for this facility? meals in restaurants took over 40 mins to come out, deserts came out with no cutlery and this took even longer to sort, would have been better off with a straw for my ice cream by the time a spoon came out, breakfast no different, 30 mins to make two full English breakfasts?

User

Very disappointed with activities over Easter fortnight, same as every year, Easter, Summer & Halloween. Also paid out £4 for the Rookie Recruit basic life guard training which last all of 20 mins & only done 2 things! The whole caravan park needs a total overhaul, is scruffy, grubby & totally outdated. Main Swimming pool ok but baby pool half empty & outdoor (although not useable yet obviously) is filthy dirty. Also noticed a few times that there are quite a few sharp rough tiles which kids cut themselves on. Jacuzzi & baby pool area was also dirty.

User

Really disappointed, been to this park before a few years back with family and this year I came for break with my boyfriend we have only just got here today is our first day and we have spent most of the day sorting out ants in the caravan and calling people for them to just spray ant killer, there are dead ants in the kitchen it’s disgusting! I’m here until Friday and going to reception in the morning as I’m disgraced by this! The man that sprayed the ant killer said it’s happening in all the caravans but actually my family used to stay in a caravan all year round every year and not once had this problem!!!

Oh dear, what a dump. Shop entrance has all but rusted through with glass missing. The toilet block was discussing with mould and a very strong smell of urine, the showers weren't much better with some suspect staining on the very old shower curtains and no heat adjustment. The restaurant while nicely finished was over priced for the quality of the food. Swimming pool was horrendous, rotting wood around the entrance and rough, broken and rotting wood sticking out of the ground that looked like it may of been part of a bench at some point. The main entertainment building was in need of some major repairs as out of one fire exit was a length of 4x3 hanging on some how above your head but if pushed would swing quite freely by a rusty bracket. On site chip shop, rank. Children's entertainment staff were hopeless with an "I'm just here to get paid" attitude and didn't seem to care at all about entertaining the kids. Very very disappointing and a warning to anyone looking to book this site. A real shame as the Parkdean sites we have stopped at before have been fantastic and the reason we booked this one.
