I thought you might like to meditate today. The sounds of nature can be musical and soothing, bringing us into the moment and giving space to stop and breathe deeply. I’ve shared this sound clip from the wonderful waterfall inside the rainforest biome at the Eden Project. It’s only a short clip, so feel free to play it on a loop or find your own soothing sound to meditate to.

International day of yoga and the longest day - what more reason do you need to be in nature ?

Happy Tuesday yogis. Today is about restorative practice. This short guided meditation can help relax and calm the body and mind. It’s not just for the evening, you can do this any time, but please don’t listen to it while driving.
If you can set the scene with soft lighting / candles and be in nature even better, but wherever you are you will benefit from taking a few minutes to rest and revive.

Morning yogis 😁
Today I’m giving you the gift of energy ! Did you know that the way we breathe can either relax or uplift us ? It’s like a virtuous circle where we choose the mood we want to enhance and breathe accordingly.
Ujjai breath enables us to practise the more challenging asanas (postures) especially in ashtanga yoga. The breath of fire builds heat in the body and is great for core strength.

Hi yogis, today I’m sharing some breathing exercises with you. These techniques can help with calming anxiety and balancing emotion. The belly breath can be done with children so it’s good for exam nerves. The alternate nostril breathing does take some practise, but is really beneficial (even if you feel daft doing it !)

Morning yogis - this morning I have a standing sequence for you. Some stretching, alignment and a bit of balance. If you have a sticky yoga mat that’s perfect, but a towel and bare feet or hard floor are fine too.
Weather is lovely so maybe take it outside ?
