The advent series is back again this year! In the lead up to Christmas we’ll be introducing you to some of our students and they’ll be sharing how they prepare for Christmas.
This is Izzy, she is a Philosophy student at Kings College, and this is how she is preparing for Christmas: “For me advent is a season to take more time to reflect on who Jesus is and why He came. It is so easy to let this busy time pass by and forget the reason for the season. So this advent, I'll be reading and studying John's gospel. Remembering that the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.”

As we've suspected, the Bible Project has been sneaking along to our talk series on Daniel and making videos that tie in really nicely...
If you've been to any of our Reload: Worship and Prayer events recently, this is a great summary of lots of what we've been talking about: Living edgy, joyful lives in Babylon/Bloomsbury. Have a look:

Want more info about our event? Tough luck. Turns out it's impossible to talk about reality.
So says Jacques Derrida, one of the thinkers we'll be investigating tonight in Slice of Life. It might sound a little far-fetched, but his ideas have been very influential. Come and decide for yourself, after a FREE DINNER.

Alright? Please join us on Wednesdays this term for Slice of Life. We're going to be eating a delicious, free dinner and then exploring some aspect of the Christian faith. Great for people who like: talking, arguing, looking at things in unusual ways, getting to the bottom of things, eating dinner...
We'll begin at 7:30pm, hosted by Monique at her flat in Turnham Green. See you there?
