The Patient Participation Group will be holding a coffee morning this Thursday 13th September, from 10am, to be held in the long corridor between the main entrance and the GP surgeries. There will be some lovely cakes and buns you can buy or you can have a coffee and biscuit for a donation of your choice. They will also be joined by members of the PPG for Three Spires Medical Practice.
They will be raising money for Cornwall Blood Bikes. Cornwall Blood Bikes are a Charity dedicated to providing an 'out of hours' service supporting our NHS partners delivering essential items to NHS hospitals and hospices in Cornwall. Please come along and show your support. .
All welcome!

Have your say about the Adult Social Care Prevention Services
People said they want to:
• feel like they belong in the place where they live... • manage their own health and wellbeing • be as independent as possible • tackle the reasons they are homeless
Adult Social Care has written a plan about how to help people to live safe and well in their home and we want your views.
For a link to the survey, information on workshops and more information on what we have done so far, please go to:
www.cornwall.gov.uk/preventionservices
The survey closes on 7 September 2018.

The Safe Places scheme in Cornwall is managed by the CHAMPS team, a group of eight people with a learning disability employed by the Council. Safe Places are local businesses or services who have signed up to the scheme, and who offer assistance if a person with a learning disability or autism comes in asking for help.
The Safe Place helps to calm the person and, if required, call their contact person, which is noted on a Safe Place card that we encourage them to carry. If ...the person is in immediate danger or they have reported bullying or harassment we ask for the police to be called. If the person is not in immediate danger, but the business or service is concerned about them then we ask them to contact the Safeguarding team.
The registered Safe Place is identified by having a Safe Place sticker in their front window. The scheme is supported by Devon and Cornwall Police and Cornwall People First.

** NEXT WEEK IS CARERS WEEK **
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring by highlighting the challenges that carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. The campaign encourages others to organise activities and events throughout the UK. You can get involved by pledging your support, and remember to get involved with @carersweek.
