About Latika Junior Tennis Club
Latika Junior Tennis Club
(Latika JTC) is one of the few tennis clubs in the UK run solely for juniors.
It is based on the outskirts of
Bracknell.
Latika Junior Tennis Club Description
Latika JTC was founded in 1971 by a retired professional tennis coach. He started giving informal coaching to a group of children and soon developed a devoted following.
He formed the group into a club, and named it after a small community he had visited in South Africa. The club moved to the Farley Wood Community Centre in 1994.
The objectives of the club are to:
вАУ introduce children to tennis
вАУ develop their tennis skills
вАУ provide a fun environment for learning.
Our membership exceeds 160 children aged between 5 and 18 who are organised in groups according to ability.
We have the dedicated use of 5 courts (3 floodlit) at the Farley Wood Community Centre.
Various coaching sessions are run on weekday evenings and every Saturday.
Latika fields various teams in the National Junior Club Leagues. Many members have represented Berkshire with some having progressed to play at national level.
There is a full programme of both summer and winter club tournaments to improve match-play skills.
Latika is run by a voluntary committee consisting of memberвАЩs parents.

We have a mounting collection of drinks bottles left behind after training. If you are missing one please claim it by the end of February. Anything left over will be disposed of.

Sadly Ice on courts has meant group 1 9-10am is cancelled, however we are happy to run group 1 session at 10am

A number of our older members now regularly cycle to their tennis training. Can we remind those members to make sure they are fully visible when cycling with bright lights and reflective clothing, they wear a helmet and wrap up warm.
