What a fantastic place, it's so refreshing to find somewhere with great food and fantastic service. I think the Grannies herbal Tea is the best I've ever had �

We drove past on Wednesday and liked the look of it so went back for a drink and a snack..be warned....there is no such thing as a snack here. The portions are huge and so delicious that you just keep going....

I had homemade houmous, bread and salads....roasted pepper, potato and mustard, cucumber and mint etc. Fabulous.

The cakes looked great too but i was too full

Today - my friends and I walked from Stroud along the towpath and decided we had walked enough and came across the Lavender Bakehouse - and thought - let's give that a go! Well - we had a lovely lunch and still had room for cake! ��� thank you for looking after us so well - from the five laughing ladies on table 15/16 ������

This place is a gem... Light...Bright, very friendly staff, great food....love it, and they welcome behaved dogs too.

The staff were so polite, friendly and quick to serve even with a busy cafe! This is popular for a very good reason and the selection of teas, cakes, crafts and homewares makes this a place to visit often!

Me and my wife took a random countryside drive from Bristol out to Tetbury then into stroud and then stopped here on the way back home. Lovely pot of tea accompanied with a scone and carrot cake. Will definitely return when I'm passing again.

I visited here today. We booked afternoon tea in advance. Wow the best I've ever had! There was a group of 6 of us and a newborn. We were doing a surprise baby shower. The staff were very patient with us all arriving and everything was perfect. The savoury was just as good as the sweet selection. Loved the savoury scones! The setting is so lovely too, lots of pretty items around for sale also. Would highly recommend.

Very warm welcome and fabulous food. Had a great time at a Baby Shower here and it was amazing. Sandwiches were delicious and lots of variety. Cakes were lovely...scones, macarons, meringue and chocolate. Really felt spoilt. Would recommend heartily for a party or just a quick coffee. Will be back very soon.

Great value for money. Had the goats cheese sourdough baguette with salad. The salad wasn't just green leaves like some coffee shops serve, was a mixed salad with sweet potatoes and seeds drizzled with oil. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

They were still offering breakfast so my husband had the Eggs Benedict followed by fruit and marzipan cake. Our friend and I tried two different pies with a salad selection. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Great service too, thanks!

We found this gem quite by accident yesterday sadly they were near closing time but we shared the nicest cheese scone I've ever had with our drink. The shop upstairs was also excellent 😃

First time at The Lavender Bakehouse but it wont be my last! I loved the whole vibe of the place and the cakes ......... to die for! As I have to eat wheat and dairy free I wasnt very hopeful that I could get a cake, always take something in case! But I was very pleasantly surprised. They had a gorgeous moist Orange Polenta cake - very generous slice. I wasnt sure I could finish it, but I managed. My friend had a hot chocolate that looked great too. Looking forward to my next visit

Atmosphere was good, everything was nice food wise, would of been nice if there had been a choice with the sandwiches as I don't eat anything with mayo. Would recommend to friends.

On this occasion, I would say that the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict was a little too mustardy for my taste .

Heard a lot about this place which in my opinion was ok,,,one of the young waitress girls was very disinterested and made this clear. The coffee was good and we didn't try the food and overall I was not that impressed,,,star anise arts cafe has a better vibe and I don't know I feel the lavender bakehouse is oversold.

So disapointing despite hearing so many great reports..we caught it on a bad day....the manger clearly needs some further training in customer service...

Ordered pot of tea for two came out with loose leaves wish I'd been warned because I don't like loose tea. Ended up with weak tea. Waitress was too efficient more concerned with sitting us down and getting an order out of us than telling us about the food and drink on offer. And if waitresses are going to wear leggings they should make sure they have a top that covers their bottom. Won't be coming here again or recommending it, used to be a charming relaxed cafe, now it's going down the pan with an over efficient bossy Waitress running it like a restaurant.
