What a lovely start we have had to the last half of the summer termπŸ˜ƒ
Today we made some really yummy smoothies, we carefully cut up strawberries, raspberries, bananas and grapes and added them to the smoothie maker. We also added vanilla ice cream and not forgetting some little marshmallows..... then we pressed the button on the smoothie maker and watched all the ingredients mix together! The best bit was tasting them πŸ˜‹ delicious πŸ˜‹
This afternoon we all went outside to the p...laying field to watch the fly past for the 75th anniversary of D day! Sadly it was delayed by 90 minutes so we were unable to watch them 😞

Preschool Trip!
We are planning a preschool outing to Cudmore Grove, East Mersea, on Thursday 27th June for play and picnic. All children and parents are invited, regardless of what day you usually attend.
If your child does not usually attend on a Thursday, they must be accompanied by their parent/carer/grandparent.
... All children would need to be brought to Cudmore Grove for 9.30am can be collected from 2pm. A packed lunch will need to be provided as usual.
Please let us know if you would be interested in attending or if you have any problem with transport to Mersea that would prevent you from being able to attend or an issue with timings. Please inform Paula in the setting or discuss with your key person or email info@layerpreschool.co.uk as we need to know numbers to be able to arrange.
We hope everyone can join us for a fun day πŸ˜€

We have been enjoying the wonderful sunshine today, making some delicious creations in the mud kitchen using mud sand and lots and lots of water! We made our very own puddles to play and splash in and put all the water to good use and gave the cars a quick wash. We also created some fun monsters on the craft table , played with the dinosaurs in the cereal swap and used scissors to develop our cutting skills ....and had great fun with our wooden train track and the trains! What a very busy fun day we have had πŸ˜ƒ

We have had some great learning experiences this week which included counting and recognising numbers, recognising the letters in our name and making it into a pretty flower picture. We have also enjoyed story time and singing nursery rhymes. We also had fun using the story dice to create our very own story. In the garden we made our very own camp fire and then collected leaves, twigs water and other things to make our very own delicious stew πŸ˜ƒ what a wonderful time we had.
