About Le Pain Quotidien Uk
We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.
At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

We enjoyed the venue, the service and the quality of the food we ordered. We sat outside and found this environment to our liking and allowed us to people watch as an added bonus. Service was prompt and the sandwiches we ordered were fresh and very tasty
Thought the food was excellent. My daughter and I had the Lebanese Mezze and the Chilli sin Carne with soya sour cream. Really enjoyed the meal. It was delicious! Had the chocolate brownie for dessert which didn’t look very appetising but tasted good!
Lovely location, lovely breakfast and very friendly waiter :-)
It's was very busy. Although we was taken to a table within 5 mins outside in the sun. Very nice. Ordered healthy breakfast/brunch and watched the world fly by.
Staff polite and service was quick. Food was outstanding! Price wise ££.
I Would highly recommend this place for an alternative to full English breakfast else where.
Great place for breakfast...and pastries. Everything is fresh and they make a huge cup of coffee, one of the best I've had at a London 'cafe'.
Great coffee. Great staff
A welcome break from a cold Covent Garden full of Christmas shoppers. Warm, comfortable surroundings, engaged staff, speedy service, delicious food and a great cup of coffee. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Very nice lunch - open sandwiches and salads for four of us. Very busy on the Sunday we visited, but typical for Covent Garden. We were on the long table, shared with several other groups of diners, which we found to be very sociable. The service charge was added to the bill before the total and there was no polite/easy option to change this - we didn't think the service was personalised or justified the charge. We didn't have to wait long but it table service was very hurried; all very polite but the service charge should be optional.
Hope to visit again at a quieter time to enjoy the food when its more relaxed.
Lovely atmosphere, waiter was excellent, my Pie was delicious but portion a little small
Always very busy but always so nice to have a meal or a coffe there. I’m going very often. Last week our waiter Jo from Hungary was super nice.
Staff were not knowledgeable about Gluten Free options available. My roast potatoes were solid, dried up and overcooked, although they did replace my meal and the potatoes were fine, and I was given a bigger portion. However, by the time I received my replacement meal, my sister had finished her meal. When paying the bill, it read that the service charge was optional, however there was no option to delete the service fee when paying by card, so they did receive a service charge that I felt was not warranted. I don't think think I eat here again.
So-so. Food good but nothing special. Service was poor.
Poor service, they offered olives and didn’t bring them. They left us for ages and forgot we were there. Food was good though
Glad that there is vegan menu as well. Brilliant. Some are not too warm or hot enough. Vegetables is undercook. I like the looks of rooms.
Beautiful location. Lovely food, poor customer service.
I was a bit surprised when I go the bill that £2.95 had been added to my bill. It said service optional but I was not given the choice to make it optional and did not have the opportunity to contest it. The food was fresh and the service quick for a very busy place.
Having visited this cafe on every visit to london had a very disappointing visit today. Poor service, asked three times for a glass of water, no apple juice or sift drink for my granddaughter, advocado and scrambled egg breakfast was poor, and returned two bowls of porridge as oats were still raw and served with just hot milk poured over them, brown banana! Quite disgusting and will not be returning.
Being a red meat eater all my life (73 years)this came as a bit of a challenge to my taste buds,so I plumped for a cheese type scone and tea ,cheese scone was not available so made do with cheese croissant, not my favourite food but it was passable.
Tea was good but the cup had no handle and only brown sugar ,this great in coffee but not in tea .
Service was fine
.
Went to PQ for first time in Parsons Green. Rude staff, can't understand them and basic food for ££. I'll go to the deli across the road next time, as they serve the same quality, are friendly and half the price.
