We had a great day, Iāve done this event for a few years now, yes itās got more and more popular, but thatās what makes the atmosphere.
There are plenty of facilities people just donāt make themselves aware of them on arrival. We did go as vip this year, the food was great, fresh and perfect choice, our marquee was lovely, the racing was enjoyable and the football on in the perfect way not to take over from what we were there for the horses..... very good value for what we had.
water on tap when we needed it, nothing was too much trouble too the staff.
On walking around good choice outside VIP was a great choice like last year, there were loads of toilets at the rear like last year...
Great day thank you. See you next year
Iāve been to a number of race meetings this year and have to say Leicester has been the best so far. Well organised, friendly staff and a festival atmosphere in the evening topped off an amazing day! Oh and no trouble - take note Ascot, you could learn a lot!
It was my second time at the ladies day event and once again I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of food and drinks outlets, well run and they all did their best considering the volume of people there! Was great to have the football on the large screen, fantastic atmosphere!
Had the bestest day and night!!!! We come to ladies day every year this one defo the best so far!!!!! Yes thereās qāing for drinks etc etc but what do people expect with 14,000 people there!!!!!! Great selection of food, helpful staff, fantastic atmosphere, a few winners on the ļæ½, England ļæ½ through to the semis, VIP all the way!!!!!! #DavePearceisaledge ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ See you next year!!!! Xxxx
Fantastic day! Plenty of parking, lots of space inside for picnics and sitting around in between races. Great food and toilet facilities with small queues and brilliant customer service from the Betfred girls ļæ½
Came on Saturday with 30 of my best friends to celebrate my birthday and friends hen do, we didnāt queue once and everything ran smoothly. Couldnāt fault the day and we will be coming next year!
Thank you for a great day ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½
Absolutely fantastic day, arrived early as was suggested and got in absolutely fine. Good to see a small course this busy! Fantastic service even though it was very busy. I chose the VIP option and I couldn't be happier with the service. Entertainment fantastic me and my girlies will definitely all be back next year.
Absolutely brilliant day out. Been for the last few years and every year itās been great. Hospitality was exceptional. Atmosphere was great all day and I loved all the entertainment. Will defo be going again next year and would fully recommend.
Had a great day but for fooks sake get some decent bar staff as they were the reason you had so many queues they didn't have a clue!
First time at the ladies day event and what a brilliant day it was! Arrived just after midday and got straight in with little queuing to find a great spot for the footie. We took bottled water in with us but there were plenty (and a large variety) of food and drink outlets which we used throughout the day. Yes there was some queuing involved but thatās to be expected on such a hot busy day! Entertainment was brilliant and canāt wait to return next year.
14 of us went along on a hen do- we had a super time the atmosphere was a delight , took us a while to find vendors who were familiar with the token/voucher system, (drinks and food) we could see members of staff but not really anyone who stood out to offer help and advice - the loos were obviously busy which was understandable but at times we felt some of them couldāve been kept cleaner.
For first timers it was a bit tricky filling in the betting slips (although the lady behind the counter was very helpful) I feel an easy option form couldāve been available where the race numbers couldāve been listed and we could just fill in the name or number of the horses ļæ½ we wished to win or bet on each way. Wouldāve saved a lot of time.
The weather was sensationalļæ½ everything was scheduled to a T . The festival was fab and the fireworks were spectacular, - be back again next year!
Lovely atmosphere and plenty of food and drink stalls, unfortunately all over priced and no available free water - Ā£2 for a small bottle! Nowhere near enough shade or areas to cool down- had to leave early due to feeling ill because of the heat ļæ½
This was my first time at Ladies day. I had a great time with my friends but wasnāt impressed with the actual event at all! Far too many people are allowed to attend, you shouldnāt sell so many tickets! What was supposed to be a special day turned out to be a stressful day. Too crowded and long queues for everything! It was ridiculous. There was no space to even sit on our picnic blanket and have a few drinks. People stepping all over us, spilling drinks .... we were not impressed. Whatās the point of making the effort to dress up? Wonāt be going again!!
Spent the day in vip for my friends hen do. Food was nice , but felt like I was in a food hall , ques were ridiculous . Considering how hot it was , we had no access to water unless we payed Ā£3 a bottle , but what confused me is on the other side in the general admission area they were handing water out for free , so
Can please tell me how vip had to pay for water ??
Also the England match was originally only being shown on one TV ( the main stage ) but vip was not allowed to access this area .
Reluctantly you kept the screen on in vip with no noise . No real atmosphere !
How an earth is this acceptable? You advertised on social media that the match was being shown . Seems more like a publicity stunt to me . How can vip not access the match ?
Absolutely disgusting !
Will be writing more in depth to your events manager.
Here at ladies day good atmosphere but shame you can't get water easily in 30 degree heat. Complimentary water advertised but not reality and most tents don't even sell it! Joke
After buying ladies day tickets for a friend's birthday, I was so disappointed to find out I'd paid that much money to watch a football match and have beer thrown all over me. What was supposed to be a lovely day out, ruined. Thanks for that
Went for ladies day . It was an absolute shambles had to pay Ā£5 for a chair we had to Que for everything toilets were disgusting no one in to keep on top of things they were filthy. The toilets out side had no water to wash your hands this is basic stuff thatās needed. Every where you went you had to Q the bar was at least a 30 mins wait every time and extortionate prices as well . Would I go again definitely NOT Absolute rip off .
Vip was a joke , we couldnāt find /wasnāt anyone to gives us info to were / what we could do/ go being vip , when asked different members that was about the didnāt know , we were a hen party of 11 with a wheelchair user , altogether we paid over Ā£700 between us for vip passes n basically got nothing for it ( only a bottle of fizz between each 2 in our party n a plastic glass ) no special perks etc , was a sham from the start with queuing to the whole day . Personally with the group paying all that amount , then we had to pay for chairs Ā£5 ( our choice ) flip-flops Ā£5 ( our choice but a rip off only worth Ā£1) programs Ā£2.50 which being vip you would of thought would of got complementary . The only good perk was the vip area in front of the stage . On a good note we all had a fab time , but feel we didnāt get the vip experience that you advertised, we might as well of paid for a standard ticket , iv been to different events in the vip and felt like a vip with how was treat and what we got but in this case it was very poor and expected a lot more
The Ladies Day was very disappointing. Not worth the Ā£30 entrance fee. Entertainment was mediocre at best. What really marred it was during the concert āmenā decided to use the bins next to where we were standing as toilets. We had our 89 year old mother with us. When we took exception we were threatened. There was a very limited presence of security in this area. Most seemed concentrated around the top end by the grandstand and food areas so no one on hand to complain to. Also not helped by securityās attitude to this problem. One man decided to urinate on the door at the entrance in full view and a lady security guard treated it as a joke. Iām sure this is not the image Leicester Racecourse wants to present and I for one will not be returning as I feel womenās personal safety is trumped by men being able to do what they like. Hardly the spirit of ladies day. Just not safe! I look forward to your comments on this.
