What a hotel staff great room great and food great it’s my birthday Friday and so pleased I’m here this is the best

User

Upmarket five star hotel adjacent to the Tower of London. Huge comfortable room obtained through a travelzoo deal. Money well spent. Continental breakfast was a tasty banquet. Staff couldn’t be more helpful.

User

This is a beautiful, well kept and clean hotel with friendly and very efficient staff. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Did I mention how delicious and plentiful the breakfast is? I highly recommend this hotel!!

User

Our first stay,( having walked past many times). Close to Fenchurch Street station. Great hotel, large clean, comfortable rooms, some with a view of Tower Bridge, the Shard etc. Varied choice of breakfast, including fresh fruit and tasty bread. Good sized indoor pool and other leisure facilities. Pleasant and helpful staff. Will stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from 8th-10th June 2018 and we cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful but comfortable. We had an Executive Room on the 10th Floor which was really classy and spacious. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious with a wide variety of food and various fruit juices. The Spa was tremendous, so relaxing. I wouldn’t recommend going to this hotel and not using the facilities. The location of this hotel is fantastic! It is less than a 2-minute walk to Tower Hill Underground Station. I have got nothing negative to say about the Grange City Hotel and we will be sure to return the next time we’re in London!

User

Lovely. Asked for a special view room when booking knowing that hotels can’t alway accommodate but they did - thank you. Lovely pool after a busy day sightseeing. Attractive hotel with a lovely opulent reception and tasteful vintage feel to the rooms.

Only area for improvement was the WiFi which didn’t work for the length of our stay. Hotel wide issue.

User

Loved staying at The Grange City Hotel. It’s very close to the Tower Hill underground station which was good. The staff are very welcoming and very polite. Check in was easy and our case was carried to our room, again good service. The room was very nice and very comfortable with a very large double bed. Bathroom was excellent and shower was great. Breakfast was very, very nice and more than enough choice, again plenty of staff on hand. I can really recommend this hotel and would definitely book here again.

User

I have stayed in three of the grange hotels and I love them all. Staff are amazing, rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast has a good variety or hot and cold food. I will definitely be returning to the grange hotel group the next time I visit London.

User

Had a wonerfully relaxed and care free weekend. We had a package deal, which was good value. Upgraded to Executive suite and the 1pm check out was great. The only minor criticism would be a lack of menu choice for our evening meal (in the deal), but having said that, the food was nice. We would come again.

User

Fabulous stay , service excellent, food from room service 1st class , continental breakfast divine & the kitchen supplied us with fresh lettuce & tomatoes to go with our cold meats , definitely will stay again

User

Birthday weekend. My boyfriend booked me a weekend away in London.

Our base was Grange City Hotel. There were so many to choose from in the area - we decided to go to this one - and we are so glad we did.

Our room was magnificent with a chandelier and full size window over looking Tower of London!

We mentioned that we loved the view from our window to the receptionist and she offered us tickets to go to the Tower of London! So kind and generous.

So beautiful in the hotel - it’s like stepping back in time to the glory of true decadence! I felt like a goddess swimming in the pool - such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of London. This was so relaxing. I loved it. A real treat!

User

A beautiful hotel, with amazing views. Our large room with a shower as well as a bath, had a small balcony where we could see the Gherkin, Trinity House, the Shard and the Tower of London. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Lovely large pool. A great bargain from TravelZoo, and will visit again.

User

We attended the New Year’s Eve gala dinner and having paid for such we were disappointed to learn we weren’t on the list of guests. However the staff immediately leapt into action and dealt with the issue immediately. There were no bathrobes in our room and although it took three calls to housekeeping they did bring two up eventually. Finally breakfast which was delivered to our room wasn’t the best we’ve had. Over cooked etc. However having mentioned the above on check out we immediately saw a duty manager who compensated us without question. It’s a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff and for those of you who have any problems, just tell them and they will remedy pretty much straight away

User

Only had one night as part of a theatre package but couldn’t fault the facilities/staff. The bedroom was very large with plenty of comfortable seating etc.

User

Mixed feelings really. Great location but greeted by surly staff. Room was ok but toilet had not been flushed so was full of pee on our arrival. Poor insulation so could hear neighbouring TVs. Nice room but lumpy sloping mattress. 32 quid for two drinks in the bar! Could not wait to get out. Check out was courteous and efficient. Really inconsistent service but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Disappointing.

User

Great location but I was given a room that the people on the platform of Fenchurch Station could easily look into. I suspect many rooms had a view of the platform of Fenchurch Station. Also it was too warm, I was at a conference and had to go outside for fresh air and cool down several times a day. Next time I’ll stay next door at Citizen M.

User

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel! Manger was very rude when asked him my room looks nothing like what the picture showed me when I paid extra and upgraded the room I got the room wich was £123 when I paid £161 so if you book an excecutive room thinking it’s going to be great believe me It’s not! Picture shows a lovely view of the tower bridge and the Tower of London! I got a brick wall and a bit of fenchurch street train track! If your staying in the area I would highly recommend the double tree by Hilton located the next road down such a great hotel thought I would try somewhere different but learnt my lesson! Stick to what you know

User

Stayed here last night. Room stank of smoke and wasn’t given option of non smoking room.. even pillows and bedding stank too. Our room was over a train station so very noisy plus with a wedding or disco going on. Granger Tower Bridge was a beautiful hotel hence why we decide to try here as thought would receive the quality of the other hotel . Won’t be staying again

User

STAY AWAY from this hotel!! This is nothing but a 5star hotel. When I asked the staff at reception why it was a 5star, his only reason was because they have a swimming pool!! Service is average, nothing to do with a supposed 5stars; breakfast is okay a lot of varieties but served in a stuffy room, and you can hear all the noise coming from the kitchen, they have good locationright next to Tower Hill station. BUT be aware that room are not clean, towels are smelly, bed is uncomfortable and old, I got allergies because of the dusty room and my sink stayed clogged for a couple of days despite apparently trying to fix it, I stayed for 6nights because my company already paid and I couldn't cancel otherwise I would have left on the very first day. The curtain was ripped. The couches at the reception are full of holes and smelly. There is no security in the elevator and anyone can enter the hotel up to the rooms corridors. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!
