We have been here for two weeks, so we have a well based opinion. This is a unique bootique hotel, made with special hands. We are not on holiday this time, but going to work, yet, after a long working day, it is a shelter that feels like being home. We only have breakfast, yet it is made and served in a high class manner and style. Thank you! Thank you for Header! ( for all breakfast with salmon-:)! Nora&Ben

These guys saved our bacon when flying from Manchester to Guernsey our plane was rerouted to Stansted and we needed overnight accommodation. With a 1-year-old and a 5-year-old who had been travelling by then for 8 hours we struck gold just before midnight finding that Linden House had a room left. A quick taxi journey and we were in! The staff were incredibly helpful, making up a spare bed and the room was marvellously appointed.

Breakfast in the morning was awesome, unlike the impending 6 hour wait we had upon our return to the airport.

Thank you to all at Linden House. We promise to come and stay again, on purpose this time.

On the 19th December we had our office Christmas Lunch at Linden House and it was fantastic. A lovely time was had by all and I believe in praise where praise is due! Sorry for the late feedback, but we have only just returned after our Christmas break.

The atmosphere was lovely, helped by the stunning decorations! The food was amazing and everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed it and commented on how nice it was – the meringue pillow was a massive hit and the chocolate cake is one of the best I have tasted. The Belstar prosecco is also very good and the fab news is the pink one will be available soon!

But the biggest praise of all must go to the staff who looked after us, they were absolutely brilliant – so friendly, professional and a credit to Linden House.

Just finished my last shift at Linden House, been an Absolutely amazing year! Staff have turned to friends, owners have given me great opportunity and we have wonderful guests. Linden house is a cosy, peaceful and happy environment and is working on new menus and events for the calendar to make everyones experiences the best they can be whilst taking feedback, positive or negative and using it to make Linden House the place be.

I hope it continues to get better and better and we have more regulars through the year, i love you all and im so very grateful!

Had a lovely lunch out with my husband, off of the bar menu. Food was excellent, and the bar tender, Sebastian, was attentive and made some time to chat.

User

Had a fabulous meal tonight. The service was outstanding. Stuart and his team excelled themselves. Thinking of booking for my birthday in a few weeks time. Would definitely highly recommend.

Fantastic stay, great location. Outside area, very modern design and clean. Our room (4) great attention to detail with the interior design. With the bath, being the star piece to lounge in!! Staff on hand all the time to cater for your needs. A special mention to Teri, who gave us such a warm welcome, very friendly and professional. The breakfast was also delicious! Thank you again for making a night away extra special, will defiently recommend and return to stay again. You put the B into boutique hotel!! ✨✨✨✨✨

Excellent afternoon tea. Good selection of sandwiches with scones and variety of cakes. Very good value.

User

Enjoyed Sunday dinner, bed & breakfast courtesy of a friends generosity. Luxurious accommodation, delightful hospitality & superb cuisine. From thoughtfully preparing my partners virgin margarita on arrival, to a gin tasting experience during dinner, culminating with an award wining breakfast prior to departure every expectation was exceeded. We loved every moment. Thank you

As a passing business client looking for a good quality hotel close to Stansted airport I booked in to Linden House / The Vine. Must say ticks many boxes, especially those little bits that make a stop over, especially business one, much better ie (and I am sure many other business people will recognise too) plenty of plugs in room, also close by the bed, your own kettle and plenty of coffee and tea, television (working with sat channels), plenty of towels and dressing gown plus slippers. Also, nice addition of fridges in corridors with complimentary bottle water and fresh milk. Thanks.

A huge thank you to Jorge and his team for the wonderful job they do to support us month in and month out for our Women In Business Networking monthly meetings. I know we aren't always easy, with dietary needs, strict timings and a silent service.

My meetings would not run as smoothly without this essential support from you and the team. Looking forward to another great year at Linden House. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My husband booked 2 nights for my 40th birthday..... The hotel looked really good from the outside, but on inspection - numerous things were not right.....

1) Very large water stain above bed

2) Wires were exposed on kettle lead

3) Slats were broken on blinds

4) Headboard covered in dust

5) Forgetfull staff

6) Pillows are not to our liking (would be nice to have choice of soft or firm)

7) Hardly any toiletries

8) Dinner menu in our room did not match dinner menu in resturant

9) No steak at all available on menu

10) Really hot in room but cool in other areas of hotel.

*Needs some TLC to remain 5*

User

The staff were lovely if a bit overloaded and the food was good but the drinks were absolutely silly no one can justify £2.50 for soda and tonic

User

Looked beautiful on the outside, however, no one there to greet us, finally shown to our room, no offer of any help with our bags which was made difficult due to the gravelled courtyard.

Was originally excited about the menu, only to be told that it was “Monday madness” and that it was a very limited menu, we declined as it was not appealing.

Soap had almost ran out in the bathroom, the toilet seat was not fixed in place either.

Slats missinf from the shutters and also a huge stain on the ceiling due to the fan not working.

The breakfast, however, was lovely.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best start to our honeymoon.

Quite disappointed

This is the worst nights sleep that I have ever had the privilege of paying for!!!

I thought that I had struck gold when we turned up after a long flight from California. I had booked two rooms for the night before flying to Spain the next morning.

Both rooms looked spectacular when we turned up and the staff were friendly, if a little forgetful.

We had a meal in the bar that was very good and value for money.

The trouble started when I went to bed!!

There is absolutely no sound insulation between the bar and the room. I felt like I had a party of 30 people in bed with me until 2am and then the cleaners climbed in to bed with me to really finish me off at 6.30am.

In fact I'm writing this at 7am in the morning because I have just given up on the idea of getting any sleep!!!

Nice place, but I would never recommend anybody to actually stay over.

I could have stayed at the Radisson Blue for less money, twice the facilities and four times the amount of sleep - why didn't I????
