London 2012 - Aquatics Centre

This venue has inspired so many, young grassroots succeeding in there sports, swimming and diving winning medals and gaining new skills.



A busy venue that is proud to host regular Gala events giving children the experience world wide athletes have swam in this special pool and world records made, this venue has been hosting some very special events like Invictus games, Swimathon, World Dive series, British Championships and so many more in this amazing pool.



The pool is seeing over 1.2 million visitors per year, prices are kept regulated to ensure the building is sustainable but also reasonably priced for all.



An Olympic venue that is very much doing what it was designed and built for, making swimming accessible and fun, increasing participation and developing young children and adults into either competitive sport or helping learn new life skills and keeping a healthy lifestyle.



The staff work tirelessly to ensure this very busy pool is maintained and customers welcomed.

With so many visitors this can be challenging but is so rewarding to see the results and successes do the legacy.



The park adds to the beauty of this building with so many other things to see and do whether you are a walker, cyclist or someone who likes the thrill of fun rides and inflatables or water fountain slash and fun or a visit to watch a concert, athletics or the east London’s football team game.





Amazing place, amazing people.

This is the pool where I participate in the 5km Swimathon Challenge on a yearly basis. Great pool to swim in and it's like what Duncan Goodhew said, the place has a good feel about it.

The pool is big enough and water is not too warm as in other pools. Very good and clean changing facilities. Excellent for children

Just out after first visit to the Olympic pool in Stratford, the Aquatics Centre to give the correct name. It really is a special place or as us Cockneys often say ... the dog's b-ll-cks! So few people in there we asked and now know each other's names! And Westfield parking only £2.50! Great staff. Really worth a visit.

Honored to call this my local swimming pool, love this place! Competition pool is very organised and great for training, I would highly recommend this place!

Had a great day at the Aquatics centre, went to see my grandson in a gala, great little back stroke swimmer, and his only 9, but he done very well and came 2nd,Lovely swimming centre, he came from Bromley. nice one.

Great hour and a half of fun on Extreme Aqua Splash for a 12 year old and two 11 year olds and great value at just £5 each. Love the park around the centre - lots to do and see, plenty of places to eat at Westfield too

Take one of the world's most iconic swimming pools built at a cost of £270million and then completely cover the two huge expanses of glass that made the pool truly special. Ruined.

I booked for my daughter and her friends to do the extreme Aqua splash for her birthday on the 4 pm session as the 12 and 2 were full. I had asked if they could fit them in an earlier time slot but they said no not under any circumstances. So why was the 4 pm slot completely overbooked? There were more than 60 with not enough life jackets to go round and more people joining in as the session progressed! Not as impressed as have been in previous occasions!

Here for the Kent Championships. Two full days and not able to bring your own food in is disgusting. Food allergies is why I packed my family's lunch for the day - having to pay parking, entry in and stand outside in the snow and cold for 30 minutes! Poor show I say! Not all bags have been checked as many people snacking away on their own food. Disappointing.

From an Architectual point of view fantastic.

My kids like when it comes to competitions.



As for Olympic legacy there is none expensive if you don't live in Newham.

Fantastic 50m comp pool. Unfortunately, it was full of floats (seems like kids these days don't want to swim), so had to use the 25m training pool.

My daughter did a diving test here yesterday. We arrived on time then had to wait for 40 mins in their cafe area with no seats for half the time. She went through to the dry diving area for an hour after that. Parents had to stay on site. The cafe was expensive and boring. Freezing downstairs and boiling upstairs. She had a great time, my toddler and I not so much. Found it difficult to find my way back to the train station as lifts were not working for the route I knew and sign posting pointed in different directions. At the end of the day, it's just a swimming pool not an Olympic one in my point of view though.

I was there as a coach for my swimming club competing in a gala. The lack of facilities for an Olympic pool ,it's very poor.

The pool itself between lanes 8 & 9 was filthy with debris on pool floor,in the male poolside toilets a tap was hanging off the wall with live wires exposed obviously water & electric don't go well together I reported this in the morning but nothing was done about it by the time I left in the evening.

I did take photos of the dirty pool &a tap hanging off the wall.

Greed and health&safety kill the fun of aqua splash. Why sell so many tickets when there don't seem to be enough compulsory life jackets? Too many people are booked in, so people have to be rushed on, can't take their time going through the obstacles, god forbid help each other or maybe crawl on all fours. You spend about 85 min of your time queuing, 4 min getting out of the pool and 1 min on the actual inflatables, of which there was only a meagre amount.

Good pool but the training pool is very regularly closed whole weekends for events.

Why is it hard to talk to get someone over the phone? Calling millions times with the call centre hang up saying everyone is busy!

Went to gym this morning at Aquatic Centre 23rd Dec.



Some managerial decision to have builders in the gym whilst still open which is crazy.

There is sawing up floor, drilling and making as much noise and dust as you possibly can imagine so much so your breath is is affected and can't hear yourself think.

Do it on nights or close gym earlier.

below is my own feeling should not effect to any one, you have to investigate your own feeling, i feel my children are victim by Better GLL , your may be not , so enjoy



I have two son , we are not a rich family but i cut all our expensive from our life to pay for our children activities because my children suffer lot in there life already ( they just 8 and 11 years old) and last 10 years my wife suffering mental health issues (Bio Polo / postnatal depression ) , my children seen there mum taken by police or paramedical staff /force to section , they seen lot of days and nights without there mum that's why i try from all my strength to give them as much as possible happiness of life and provide them all what other children can have without any discrimination and race



Therefore i am not able to see any kind of un justice to any child around me and especially those who are special angels in this world ,

i hate when people ignore the children needs and deal with children rudely and i hate when companies earn from public and not spent back to them especially on children i hate especially those organizations where government and local authorities fund them and public money involved where they enjoy lot of profit and grow well , they promise lot to public, but when time go and they ignore and neglect especially children needs i feel one of them is London Aquatics Centre (swimming section ) and Tom Daley diving Academy under organization of Better (GLL) i think they abusing the great name of Tom Daley i feel they extremely ignoring there own rules which they advertizing online i feel there coches/staff either overloaded with there duties because they have less staff or if they overcrowded by children than they breaking the law of health and safety OR If both above point is not the case then there staff and coaches just not honest with there jobs and there admin / mangers have no control on them OR there managers just enjoying high wages and they don't care what staff are doing OR they there job just to reach the targets and earn money for Better GLL and they don't care what the children suffering or not

for example very recently i feel they again abuse the great name of Tom Daley , (I hope some one give me contact details of Mr Tom Daley i will write him a latter and like to see his comments about abusing his name or may be he as well part of the game GOD Know well ) they just change the hole system of training/courses of diving one of the Manager saying following

'new programme for the diving academy to include 5 stages instead of the 3 stages before " excellent, BUT further she saying ' Each child has been assessed by their teacher and advised of a new stage to book into' think what she saying its extremism of Managers who work for Better to increase the Better revenue, it's amazing trick of revenue Managers when they saying all children old achievement will be deleted and will not consider top of that they remove all children achievements from on line system known as Home Portal so no parents can see and claim that, its mean a child who attend there courses may be last 6 month and may be achieved %99 of old program and may be spent 1000 pounds thats will go in Rubbish all the children have to go back and start again from Zero and there coches again have to spends weeks or may be months to re assist them and put them in right group according there ability but by that time they all have to be in one line for may be for moths as i am witness that none of the coaches NEVER ever regularly update home portal by any mean some of them take 3 week to update one step, for example a coach decide on friday all children in group will do butterfly so 50% children for example pass that stroke that day 30% fair rest fail , the coach take this information with him may be at home and save that information in a suitcase and when ever he feel well or he think when its nassery he update these information on HomePortal or as i am witness he never do or will do after may be 3 weeks than if you remind him or ask the managers they very easily can ignore you by saying that Please don't teach us our Job , we know what we doing and why ( who care what they saying online )



Top of that they saying except what we saying play under our rules OR loss your money its treat a tool to use to blackmeal public . on the very first day day of registration they force to charge in advance on the spot for 4 week in advance and plus 4 week (in total 8 weeks) who knows for what last for weeks but they saying its for guaranty if you cancel your class early than you loss left over classes or just give us notice and continue rest left period / days , even if you not happy with your class or you cant continue by any other reason in other words its security for Better GLL that what ever Better do client can't leave them for 8 weeks , so they are king of the land and we are slave for 8 weeks who can make complain and scream but cant divorce them without charge (although they saying we always overbooked its mean they always have loved one who looking for to join them, just think they keeping money who left early and earring from new client as well , so they saling one time twice, wow ) in other words they forcing clients by all mean to stay with them minimum 8 weeks or pay , i am personally very happy to stay with them for hole my life , but if they do there job properly with pleasure with smile with honesty , hole my experience i never seen a single person from there staff with smile on face they all look stress , rushing , under pressure, tired and not welcoming .no eye contact at all , all look scared if sme not ask for any help.



there reception extremely under pressure they have 4 seats for staff in reception which naver fill with staff mostly two in use , naver seen 4 sats occupy by staff i visit there different days and time never come cross that full reception staff on place , mostly huge lines all helpless public patiently waiting for there turn to be notice.

comback to the point , when they create the Groups specially for small children age 4 to 8 its look like they consider only those who living on walking distance a upper class families a rich milnor's because as non of UK state School specialty primary school finish his class before 15:30 , poor little children age 4 to 8 have to run from school and without having lunch and run and run to join there groups which start around 4pm unbelievable stress for them which even they them self cant understand and that stress will effect them for long run in there life

if you make complaint the rude answer waiting for you we are extremely overbooked that's why a small child age 4 to 8 have to come straight after school , why not they think age factor of child when they creating groups God Knows well , ( you will find lot of mums feeding there children in reception area some time in changing room just before class or straight after class child screaming for food, some of them you may find feeding when they running from parking area to London Aquatics Centre / Tom Daley diving Academy or most of them setting car feeding children around 4pm , do you think its healthy ? i feel that poor child who fallow the parents who don't care there child need is first proper food in easy claim place rather than rushing them to have food for swimming or diving ,its shame on us , but who cares one party like Better GLL just want to earn money 2nd party who is parents like you and me those not educated and they need parental class to understand for long run that's not worth it to stress a child and ignore his need of food rush them and setting in car feed them batter is fight for your child batter class time and for Better GLL should to create more class in saturdays sundys for small children but, who care !



when you show your concerns to management all they can say its our policy we will force that up to you follow or go back to your home (enjoy your tea coffee and lets enjoy our) extremely rude , i hope the GOD give me strength to take this kind of organization to court and ask them please don't misguide public online and please refund all children money back (only milnor's who don't care about that small money) pay all children compensations who victims of Better new rules of game where the GLL Better delete all children fills / old achievement and saying children achievement will not consider and they have to go through again under new rules of the game and pay again and spent again time and GOD know may be be after 6 month London Aquatics Centre / Tom Daley diving Academy change again rules of the game and again we have to pay and again all children have to go through weeks of reassessment and again BETTER will earn more money again and again ,

I had asked if they could fit them in an earlier time slot but they said no not under any circumstances. So why was the 4 pm slot completely overbooked? There were more than 60 with not enough life jackets to go round and more people joining in as the session progressed! Not as impressed as have been in previous occasions!

Here for the Kent Championships. Two full days and not able to bring your own food in is disgusting. Food allergies is why I packed my family's lunch for the day - having to pay parking, entry in and stand outside in the snow and cold for 30 minutes! Poor show I say! Not all bags have been checked as many people snacking away on their own food. Disappointing.

From an Architectual point of view fantastic.

As for Olympic legacy there is none expensive if you don't live in Newham.

Fantastic 50m comp pool. Unfortunately, it was full of floats (seems like kids these days don't want to swim), so had to use the 25m training pool.

My daughter did a diving test here yesterday. We arrived on time then had to wait for 40 mins in their cafe area with no seats for half the time. She went through to the dry diving area for an hour after that. Parents had to stay on site. The cafe was expensive and boring. Freezing downstairs and boiling upstairs. She had a great time, my toddler and I not so much. Found it difficult to find my way back to the train station as lifts were not working for the route I knew and sign posting pointed in different directions. At the end of the day, it's just a swimming pool not an Olympic one in my point of view though.

I was there as a coach for my swimming club competing in a gala. The lack of facilities for an Olympic pool ,it's very poor.

The pool itself between lanes 8 & 9 was filthy with debris on pool floor,in the male poolside toilets a tap was hanging off the wall with live wires exposed obviously water & electric don't go well together I reported this in the morning but nothing was done about it by the time I left in the evening.

Greed and health&safety kill the fun of aqua splash. Why sell so many tickets when there don't seem to be enough compulsory life jackets? Too many people are booked in, so people have to be rushed on, can't take their time going through the obstacles, god forbid help each other or maybe crawl on all fours. You spend about 85 min of your time queuing, 4 min getting out of the pool and 1 min on the actual inflatables, of which there was only a meagre amount.

Good pool but the training pool is very regularly closed whole weekends for events.

Why is it hard to talk to get someone over the phone? Calling millions times with the call centre hang up saying everyone is busy!

Went to gym this morning at Aquatic Centre 23rd Dec.



Some managerial decision to have builders in the gym whilst still open which is crazy.

There is sawing up floor, drilling and making as much noise and dust as you possibly can imagine so much so your breath is is affected and can't hear yourself think.

Do it on nights or close gym earlier.

London Aquatics Centre / Tom Daley diving Academy under GLL Better VS Children ,



below is my own feeling should not effect to any one, you have to investigate your own feeling, i feel my children are victim by Better GLL , your may be not , so enjoy



I have two son , we are not a rich family but i cut all our expensive from our life to pay for our children activities because my children suffer lot in there life already ( they just 8 and 11 years old) and last 10 years my wife suffering mental health issues (Bio Polo / postnatal depression ) , my children seen there mum taken by police or paramedical staff /force to section , they seen lot of days and nights without there mum that's why i try from all my strength to give them as much as possible happiness of life and provide them all what other children can have without any discrimination and race



Therefore i am not able to see any kind of un justice to any child around me and especially those who are special angels in this world ,

i hate when people ignore the children needs and deal with children rudely and i hate when companies earn from public and not spent back to them especially on children i hate especially those organizations where government and local authorities fund them and public money involved where they enjoy lot of profit and grow well , they promise lot to public, but when time go and they ignore and neglect especially children needs i feel one of them is London Aquatics Centre (swimming section ) and Tom Daley diving Academy under organization of Better (GLL) i think they abusing the great name of Tom Daley i feel they extremely ignoring there own rules which they advertizing online i feel there coches/staff either overloaded with there duties because they have less staff or if they overcrowded by children than they breaking the law of health and safety OR If both above point is not the case then there staff and coaches just not honest with there jobs and there admin / mangers have no control on them OR there managers just enjoying high wages and they don't care what staff are doing OR they there job just to reach the targets and earn money for Better GLL and they don't care what the children suffering or not

for example very recently i feel they again abuse the great name of Tom Daley , (I hope some one give me contact details of Mr Tom Daley i will write him a latter and like to see his comments about abusing his name or may be he as well part of the game GOD Know well ) they just change the hole system of training/courses of diving one of the Manager saying following

'new programme for the diving academy to include 5 stages instead of the 3 stages before " excellent, BUT further she saying ' Each child has been assessed by their teacher and advised of a new stage to book into' think what she saying its extremism of Managers who work for Better to increase the Better revenue, it's amazing trick of revenue Managers when they saying all children old achievement will be deleted and will not consider top of that they remove all children achievements from on line system known as Home Portal so no parents can see and claim that, its mean a child who attend there courses may be last 6 month and may be achieved %99 of old program and may be spent 1000 pounds thats will go in Rubbish all the children have to go back and start again from Zero and there coches again have to spends weeks or may be months to re assist them and put them in right group according there ability but by that time they all have to be in one line for may be for moths as i am witness that none of the coaches NEVER ever regularly update home portal by any mean some of them take 3 week to update one step, for example a coach decide on friday all children in group will do butterfly so 50% children for example pass that stroke that day 30% fair rest fail , the coach take this information with him may be at home and save that information in a suitcase and when ever he feel well or he think when its nassery he update these information on HomePortal or as i am witness he never do or will do after may be 3 weeks than if you remind him or ask the managers they very easily can ignore you by saying that Please don't teach us our Job , we know what we doing and why ( who care what they saying online )



Top of that they saying except what we saying play under our rules OR loss your money its treat a tool to use to blackmeal public . on the very first day day of registration they force to charge in advance on the spot for 4 week in advance and plus 4 week (in total 8 weeks) who knows for what last for weeks but they saying its for guaranty if you cancel your class early than you loss left over classes or just give us notice and continue rest left period / days , even if you not happy with your class or you cant continue by any other reason in other words its security for Better GLL that what ever Better do client can't leave them for 8 weeks , so they are king of the land and we are slave for 8 weeks who can make complain and scream but cant divorce them without charge (although they saying we always overbooked its mean they always have loved one who looking for to join them, just think they keeping money who left early and earring from new client as well , so they saling one time twice, wow ) in other words they forcing clients by all mean to stay with them minimum 8 weeks or pay , i am personally very happy to stay with them for hole my life , but if they do there job properly with pleasure with smile with honesty , hole my experience i never seen a single person from there staff with smile on face they all look stress , rushing , under pressure, tired and not welcoming .no eye contact at all , all look scared if sme not ask for any help.



there reception extremely under pressure they have 4 seats for staff in reception which naver fill with staff mostly two in use , naver seen 4 sats occupy by staff i visit there different days and time never come cross that full reception staff on place , mostly huge lines all helpless public patiently waiting for there turn to be notice.

comback to the point , when they create the Groups specially for small children age 4 to 8 its look like they consider only those who living on walking distance a upper class families a rich milnor's because as non of UK state School specialty primary school finish his class before 15:30 , poor little children age 4 to 8 have to run from school and without having lunch and run and run to join there groups which start around 4pm unbelievable stress for them which even they them self cant understand and that stress will effect them for long run in there life

if you make complaint the rude answer waiting for you we are extremely overbooked that's why a small child age 4 to 8 have to come straight after school , why not they think age factor of child when they creating groups God Knows well , ( you will find lot of mums feeding there children in reception area some time in changing room just before class or straight after class child screaming for food, some of them you may find feeding when they running from parking area to London Aquatics Centre / Tom Daley diving Academy or most of them setting car feeding children around 4pm , do you think its healthy ? i feel that poor child who fallow the parents who don't care there child need is first proper food in easy claim place rather than rushing them to have food for swimming or diving ,its shame on us , but who cares one party like Better GLL just want to earn money 2nd party who is parents like you and me those not educated and they need parental class to understand for long run that's not worth it to stress a child and ignore his need of food rush them and setting in car feed them batter is fight for your child batter class time and for Better GLL should to create more class in saturdays sundys for small children but, who care !



when you show your concerns to management all they can say its our policy we will force that up to you follow or go back to your home (enjoy your tea coffee and lets enjoy our) extremely rude , i hope the GOD give me strength to take this kind of organization to court and ask them please don't misguide public online and please refund all children money back (only milnor's who don't care about that small money) pay all children compensations who victims of Better new rules of game where the GLL Better delete all children fills / old achievement and saying children achievement will not consider and they have to go through again under new rules of the game and pay again and spent again time and GOD know may be be after 6 month London Aquatics Centre / Tom Daley diving Academy change again rules of the game and again we have to pay and again all children have to go through weeks of reassessment and again BETTER will earn more money again and again ,
