Catamaran gets hit by Meteotsunami in Mallorca.
It just shows how much current a Tsunami can generate, even a small one like this one.

For everyone sailing Around the Island this weekend, be advised!

HMRC (Her Majesties Revenues and Customs) suspected a boat owner wasn't paying proper wages to his deckhand, and sent an inspector to investigate him.
Auditor: "I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them."
Boat Owner: "Well, there's Clarence, my deckhand, he's been with me for 3 years. I pay him £1000 per week plus free room and board. Then there's the mentally challenged guy. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of the work around here. He make...s about £10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of rum and a dozen beers every Saturday night so he can cope with life. He also gets to sleep with my wife occasionally."
Auditor: "That's the guy I want to talk to, the mentally challenged one."
Boat Owner: "That would be me, what would you like to know?"

As part of the RYA Push the Boat Out national campaign to get people to have a go at sailing, London Corinthian Sailing Club (LCSC) is offering the chance of a free taster session on the river in Hammersmith on Saturday 20 May.
Whether you're completely new to sailing or looking to get back on the water, LCSC will be one of the many sailing clubs and centres across the country taking part in the event
Between 2pm and 4:30pm you can try a free 20-minute sail in a dinghy with a...n experienced club member on the River Thames in front of the Clubhouse (taster sessions available for anyone 14+ Years). Please call our office on 020 8748 3280 to book a slot in advance and for more details: including what to wear.
This is a great opportunity to see if sailing's for you. You could even stay and watch the sailing on the river in the early afternoon and have a chat over a club barbecue (small charge applies).
Richard Pettifer, LCSC Commodore said "We are delighted to be taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out again. It's a great opportunity to invite the local community to come have a go at sailing and find out what the club has to offer. Book a slot – who knows you might just get hooked!"
Sailing can be as physical or as relaxing as you want to make it, you can sail with others or on your own, do it competitively or potter about and just enjoy the gentle escape of being outside in the elements.

The new revolutionary Spinnaker Bow Hatch. Are you tired of the spinnaker getting stuck in the foredeck hatch, tired of having to run the guy to the pole before lifting the kite, tiered of having to run the sheets around the foredeck or last minute changes 100ft before the mark?
Worry no more, the new Spinnaker Bow Hatch brings a solution to all of that!

Shortlisted for RYA Club of the year; will we win it?!?!?

User

The only club that gives you all dinghy, offshore and theory training and sailing.

Also racing, cruising and trips abroad for dinghies and very big dinghies.

Right in the heart of London.

Brilliant!

User

I feel really lucky to have found LCSC. I can sail right in the middle of London, have made loads of really good friends and can sail offshore too - if I can tear myself away from the river.

User

Great variety of social and sailing events to choose from and plenty of them. Dinghy and offshore sailing with cruising, racing or learning from scratch. Events and trips on the river in London, down on the Solent and abroad. Great atmosphere and very welcoming bunch.

User

Great club, fun people - lots of fun trips and good racing. Did my RYA training there - good tutor and value for money
