We still have spaces on our trip to Poole on the bank holiday weekend!!! Lovely dives getting into UK coastal diving!

Poole is a great favourite among UK divers and its very easy to see why. Poole bay provides a wonderfully safe anchorage, with sheltered scenic drift dives like, Poole Rocks. This area of fossilised forest, pays host to a diversity of marine life, and offers fabulous photography opportunities at 5-15m depth. Heading West we follow the Jurassic coast, pass Old Harry Rocks, and into Swanage Bay. Here you can enjoy long slow drifts with an abundance of rays and cuttlefish. You m...ight even spot some Sea Horses! Further along the coast, our dive focuses on scallops, lobsters and brown crabs.
The four dives of the weekend will be featuring shallow wrecks such as the Valentine tanks or the Fleur de Lys which are both around 15m as well as a reef dive and a drift dive.
As the dives involve some drift diving and some foraging for lunch we recommend that they have some experience of UK diving for this trip.
The trip price includes BBQ styled lunch on board and the crew are also happy to cook fresh fish and scallops, that are collected during the day. This trip always has rave reviews.

Today LSD took to the airwaves as centre manager Colin Mac Andrias chatted live to BBC World Service and BBC 5 Live discussing the possible scuba diving rescue of the Thai school children and their teacher from the caves.

Cornwall has just as much beauty below the surface as it does above and you will be sampling some of the best Falmouth Bay and the Manacles area have to offer. You will be traveling down on the Friday from London and for those who make the early trip Fridays shore diving is free.
Staying 2 nights you will be doing 4 boat dives on the Saturday and Sunday. The Manacles is one of the UK’s most famous dive areas which includes some fantastic reefs, walls and pinnacles, covered in... jewel anemones and life, as well the well-known wreck of the Mohagan.
Porthkerris Divers is a family run dive centre that offers fantastic shore and boat diving, on site food and self catering accommodation. For our group we have booked the centre's small catamaran which can carry up to 12 divers. The boat is operated by experienced staff who are also very knowledgable about diving in the area.

We have managed to get one of the directors and editor of the newsletter of the Historical Diving Society Peter Dick to come and talk about the history and developments of regulators.
Peter is hugely knowledgeable about the development of different kinds of kit and techniques, so we are thrilled to have him come to talk to us.
We will have a second session with Peter on 30th July when he will talk about exposure suits.
