Bijou means "💎" in French. Invented by Harry Johnson, this cocktail is called Bijou because it combines the colours of three jewels, is this case we have tequila for diamond, hibiscus bitter for ruby and melon for emerald.

There are two different legends about the origin of the name toddy: one is linked to the doctor Robert Bentley Todd who was describing the condition post-coital paralysis, the second one is linked to the Indian palm wine that is call “toddy”.

☀️ New summer menu coming to Looking Glass! ☀️
We are turning the seasons upside down this summer. Our new summer only menu transforms winter inspired favourites into fresh, zesty and frozen cocktails.
SUMMER MULLED WINE... Inspired by Mulled wine.
As the Romans created this drink against the cold winters we twisted it against the hot summer swapping hot spice with fresh fruit and citrus, adding some extra Caribbean flavour.
Type of drink: Winy, fruiy. spiced.
Ingredients: @chairmansreserveuk spiced rum, @pampellerubyred grapefruit, homemade fruity Vermouth & limoncello.

Something different, great drinks and amazing, friendly staff.



Certainly one of my favourite spots in London!

Incredible team of mixologists serving some of the best cocktails ever! Highly recommend 'the dude' !! 😉 bangin music every weekend, a must for the cool kid looking for a good time 🙌🏽

Hen party late arriving for reserved table but still able to accommodate us. Good music, plenty of staff, beautiful dècor and great prices. Recommended.

Great open mic' talent on Mondays, lovely atmosphere and good bar prices. What's not to like?

Cosy atmosphere , great cocktails , wonderful staff very attentive to your requests e to please you. First class live music acts. You will not be disappointed worth the trip, I enjoyed 101% :)

Best cocktails in London with best bartenders who are always willing to prepare dreamy drinks! Tell them what you like and you'll get it! 😄

Attentive and knowledgeable staff at Looking Glass unpick what it is that you like and they are rarely wrong. There is something for everyone here whether it is a celebration, meet-up or philosophical discussion (done all and will no doubt do again!). See you soon :-)

Was here for the Speakeasy Blues dancing night of a Sunday. Friendly crowd - recommend it.

Venue's great, staff are really nice. Live music night on Mondays are always cool too.

Really good place. Loses a star for nor having a cloak room.and spent the night trying to ensure no one pinched your jacket.

I had a great night here for the music night on bank holidah Monday. Music was excellent. Cocktails a bit overpriced / but hey - this is london and atmosphere is good 🙂

A rather nice idea especially with the hidden door. The bartenders were brilliant, although the bar didn’t sell pimms ? And cocktails were pricey (£11 a time) . You must improve the stinky toilets which compared to the lush surroundings in the bar was a shock ! However all the staff were very friendly and it was a nice night .

Very hot inside, asked for a table for 15/20 people got a table that seated around 6 people, wasnt allowed to open the door even though very hot, was told there was a dance floor i never saw the dance floor! Very small inside. It was a shame as We had to find somewhere else to go and there was lots of us!

The place is cool, but we had a reservation and we had to wait a really long time beore they told us that there was no room for us behing the looking glass. Nice innovation in the cocktails, but quite expensive.

Cool bar. Nice cocktails, bar staff could have been friendlier considering your paying 12.5% service charge (which is automatically applied to every round of drinks). Music could have been better. Look after your belongings - we had two coats stolen off the back off our chairs.

You have one toilet for the whole bar! Tonight there was a party of 50, 30 and 20 booked in. One toilet.

Worst place I've wasted my money in for years. So many issues and mistakes from bad drinks menu design, to sound management for live acts to service and hap hazard decor and wonky emergency exit sign. Even the furniture was broken. Cocktails overpriced even for east London prices. Never refused to pay service charge before until now. Sort it out guys or you'll be closed as soo as you opened.
