Just picked up a tray of beautiful, local, fresh, organic figs from the fantastic Eric and Charlotte at the Highlander. Harvested in their garden and giving these little beauties away and requesting a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. Love working with such a great local, independent business in hitchin and helping to raise money for such a good cause. These are going to take centre stage tonight as one of our seasonal specials so come down, eat well and do good! LRx

Last week we ran a poll asking you, our lovely followers, to help choose the charity that we will support through our 'charity of the month' initiative.
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who voted, commented and shared the post. We are delighted to announce that Poets IN won the poll, and we will be raising money on their behalf in the coming months.
... Secondly, in the spirit of full disclosure, what was intended to be 'Charity of the month' appears to have turned into charity of the season! Due to a fantastically busy summer, we allowed the time period to run on, which means that from 01.06 - 31.08, Tilehouse Street Counselling Services were the recipients, and we were able to raise £262.25 for them.
So, in the interest of parity, we will raise money for Poets IN for exactly the same amount of time - and we promise to be a little more organised in future!

We recently launched the Los Reyes charity of the month - our endeavour to help support the local charities in Hitchin and the surrounding area. Each month we select a 'charity dish', and 25 pence from the sale of each dish goes towards our chosen charity.
And that's where you, our lovely customers and followers, come in. We would really love your help in choosing the charities each month, through the poll below. The winning charity will then be announced on our page as soon ...as the poll closes. For the charity that doesn't get through this time, they will be put 'back in the hat' for another chance next month.
This month our two charities are: Young Carer's Crew - supporting young carers in the local area Poets IN - a locally founded charity supporting mental health sufferers through creative outlets. We had another amazing meal at Los Reyes last night (this was our 4th visit) service was excellent and this is without doubt our favourite restaurant in Hitchin. We went on the same day last year for our wedding anniversary and it was acknowledged by the staff which was a pleasant surprise however this year although we mentioned it when booking it wasn't acknowledged (not sure if they got us mixed up with someone else?) but nonetheless it was another great night!

Tom and the team are a dream.

Mother’s Day lunch with my daughters was fabulous. Food awesome!! It never lets me down.

This wasn’t our first time here (and won’t be our last). The food is consistently excellent and the staff are amazing. It is our fave restaurant in Hitchin. The variety of dishes and the atmosphere just make an evening here ‘increible’

So I have updated my previous 5 star review with a more recent 5 star review.

Service: 5star (the new chap - sorry I can’t recall you name) was fabulous and had a giggle with the drunken men of our party in great spirits!

Myth Busting : i heard a rumour the set menu leaves you hungry- rubbish there was so much food we could barely move (and we had some big eaters!)



All round 5 star and now 10 other people fav tapas restaurant ever too!

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent service but most of all the best meal we have ever had. Even better than The Shard!! Every plate of food was perfect, beautifully presented and really tasty. The atmosphere was great and the bill was very reasonable. We will definitely be making this a more regular treat.

Whilst l was slightly worried about the unisex toilets, they are really secure so you don’t feel worried and they are really stylishly done and very clean.

Would highly recommend.

I had such a great time celebrating my Birthday at Los Reyes with friends. We were in a private room which was fantastic as we could be as loud as we wanted and not disturb any other diners! The food was delicious and the staff were amazing too. Our waiter was very attentive and patient with us.

I'm looking forward to coming back! Thank you.

Have been many times to Los Reyes and food is really good and you get service with a smile! It’s good value and as a regular visitor to the tapas bars of Madrid, I am never disappointed with the food or choice of food! My wife has also used the private rooms for business events and nothing to disappoint there also!
