2015 Gibson Custom 58 “Blues Master” Les Paul . A closer look at another exceptional Gibson Custom Shop guitar we have in store at the moment. Constructed using traditional techniques from a one piece Mahogany body and Mahogany neck, this 58 Blues Master Les Paul features a hand selected flamed maple top with a traditional 50's style carve that really allows the grain of the wood to shine through. The neck features a thoroughly '58 style profile which is big and heavy but allows you to really dig in with your playing, which has made this particular style of neck a favourite for players over the years. In terms of electronics, two Custombuckers provide all the pure PAF clarity and crunch you could need. Come and give it a try in store!

Made initially as super limited runs in unique finishes, this guitar features '62 specs in the shape of a nice slab Rosewood board and vintage voiced pickups, along with a finish unlike any we've seen that we've affectionately dubbed 'Electric' Lake Placid Blue. 2004 Hofner Vintage '63 500/1 Violin Bass. Some four string fun today in the shape of this super cool Hofner 500/1 reissue bass. Made in Germany to original specs, the 500/1 surely has a claim to being one of the most important bass guitars in popular music. As for the amp, it seemed wrong to pair it with anything other than this '63 Vox AC30 Bass head, which will be available soon!

2012 Fender Japan Competition Stripe Mustang in Fiesta Red & 2006-2008 Fender Japan Competition Mustang in Olympic White . Two very cool MIJ Mustangs that we currently have in store! Both the Fiesta Red and Olympic White finishes are fairly uncommon when it comes to Japanese made Mustangs so its nice to have a pair together. Gibson Custom 1960, 1959 & 1958 VOS Les Paul Standards. . Doesn't get much better than this. Three killer Les Pauls from the Gibson Custom Shop. The craftsmanship is something to behold. The 1960 is a True Historic model, featuring extreme attention to detail and an amazing level of finishing. The '59 and '58 VOS models have all the period correct specs you'd want to see, along with the expert ageing and patina that comes with it. 2007 - 2010 Fender Japan '62 Reissue Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue
Today has been all about kicking back and enjoying some of our new arrivals, in particular this MIJ Fender '62 Strat. This one comes factory fitted with Texas Special pickups and has all the features you would expect from a Japanese vintage reissue Fender, including a particularly nice slab Rosewood fretboard. Circa 1955 Kay K-161 Thin Twin "Jimmy Reed" . This is about as unique as it gets. All original mid 50's Kay Thin Twin, the guitar synonymous with blues legends Jimmy Reed and Hubert Sumlin. Manufactured between 1952 and 1959, this one is in great condition for its age and features the much coveted tiger stripe pickguard only found on earlier models. The 'blade' style single coil pickups are small but pack a mighty punch, with plenty of bluesy bite whiel retaining an open acoustic resonance. Other than a missing headstock logo, this one is all original with the cupcake knobs, pickups, guard, pots and single line Klusons just as they would have left the factory way back when. One for all the Sears guitars fans out there!

As with everything that comes out of the Gibson Custom Shop, these really have to be heard and played to be believed. Come a check them out in store!

Fredric Effects are always a favourite of ours in the shop, with their reworkings of some of the most weird and wonderful vintage effects out their expanding our tonal palette to no end.
