We all know that sourcing locally is important and you don't get more local than this. Crab apples picked today from Madeleine's Garden, pickled at The Bakehouse this afternoon and in the deli tomorrow morning. We will be opening a jar for you to try with a bit of Westcombe Dairy cheddar.

If you would like a treat, try this Ortiz Ventresca Tuna! Made from the belly which is the most desirable and valuable part of the tuna. The long tender flakes give a deliciously melting texture with a mild but rich texture.

A Turkish open bread with Spinach, Cheese, Onion, Tomato, a hint of Chilli & a touch of Cumin. A prefect lunch!

We believe that we all have a responsibility to care for our environment and use recyclable and biodegradable packaging wherever possible.
We encourage our customers to use their own reusable coffee cups and food containers by deducting 10p from the cost of their drink and invite them to bring in their own containers.
This includes our jars, so if you have one of our Madeleine’s Kitchen jars bring it back to the deli and we will give you 20p back per jar!

Making bread is a true art and a labour of love. We were fortunate enough to pop up to Froxfield to see Vickie from The Real Bread Company during the final stages of preparation for the day's delivery. She made it look so simple but so many different factors had to be taken into consideration including how the starter was, the types of flour, the weather and the times for each loaf to come out looking perfect.
By the time we got to Vickie at 7am, she had already been out ...at 5am to shape the loaves. It was time to slash each loaf. Every type of bread had a particular pattern, in some cases extra seeds added so each flavour could be recognisable once baked..The sourdough loaves were then baked at different temperatures based on the type of flour and which stage of baking they had got to. On the day of our visit it was 'a small batch' Vickie said!! Only 75 loaves! As soon as the newly baked bread was off for delivery the next day's mixture was well underway for the cycle to repeat again.

Fantastically delicious and full of flavour! Our customers enjoyed the carrot cake today.
Whole cakes available to order or pop in and have a slice with a coffee roasted by Winchester Coffee Roasters. Perfect!

Red rice, quinoa salad with orange and apricots. Along with the popular beetroot, lentil salad with tomatoes and goats cheese.

A little sweetness, a bit of a crunch, great with a cup of coffee or on a cheeseboard, these Toast Biscuits are so moorish! Which is your favourite?

A selection of dips to include Baba Ghanoush, Guacamole and Beetroot & Horseradish. Served with some gently roasted vegetable and some of our Andalou Olive selection. A sample starter for a wedding in October!

Where to begin? There are far too many scrummy products to mention. The Scotch eggs with runny yolk centres, rillettes, the Comté cheese .. And then there are all the sweet products. A huge Yums up from me.

We ordered a selection of our favourites from Madeleine's last weekend for a Birthday party to add to our buffet table. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent as always and made for a much more relaxed preparation when you're feeding 20+ people!! Excellent quality - Highly recommended (whether you're popping in for coffee & cake or ordering something ad hoc).

We have just eaten the carrot cake. Absolutely delicious. Will be back for more!

This place never fails to deliver-great taste and impeccable service. I am constantly raving about the wonderful cakes and savoury treats...so brilliant to have something so special on our doorstep!

Fab coffee, amazing range of edible treats and now some vegan yumminess too - what more could a girl ask for? Oh yes .... the staff are totally amazing also!

Excellent choice of tasty, unusual food

Came in this afternoon with an old friend and we both enjoyed a delicious iced coffee one with caramel and the other with cinnamon. Chuffed that a couple of customers came and spoke to me about my work also. Great service and a lovely atmosphere 😀🎨👍🏻
