Mahogany Opera Group creates new opera in new ways, in different spaces and places throughout the UK and internationally. It presents each distinct project with a vitality that stretches the boundaries of what opera can be and who it is for.

With a spirit of adventure and enquiry, Mahogany Opera Group collaborates with established and emerging artists, drawing on a range of cultural influences, theatrical methods, art-forms and technologies and involves local communities in the creative process.

With everything we do, Mahogany Opera Group aims to make a serious contribution towards opera as a living, vibrant art form, to build fruitful and ongoing relationships and to create inspiring and memorable moments in the lives of our audience.

Mahogany Opera Group was launched in 2014 bringing together The Opera Group and Mahogany Opera, to build on combined strengths and create even greater possibilities for future opera productions.

The company is an Artistic Company in Resident at King’s College London and works in collaboration with a wide range of venues, performing ensembles and non-arts partners.
