fascinating experience, much technological and historical knowledge served lightly using excellent video presentations on the Station walls where the little train (originally conceived for bags of mail not overweight passengers) stops

Went yesterday with our children. Amazing train ride and adapted train. Thoroughly enjoyable for all ages involved.

The childrens sorted office play area was amazing for young children and uses their imagination no end.

Would recommend easily as a great family day out.

User

Well worth a visit and well worth booking a spot. Really interesting museum. Lots of history.

We went in a group to the Mail Rail and had a great time , the museum is well set out and especially interactive for children . The little train is great , little bit tiny height wise but enough room for 2 in each compartment . It’s well organised .

The cafe area had lovely food and the cakes were fab . It’s well worth a visit . Entrance fee is in line with London prices .

We loved this tourist attraction. Highly recommended. Fascinating look into the history of the mail trains. Brilliant interactive exhibits. Family friendly.

User

This was a great morning out. Interesting museum, and good fun on the train ride itself. Highly recommended.

User

Really enjoyed it. The ride is great with informative audio visual presentations on the history and operation of the system. Wish the ride was longer - it only took about 15 minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful. The exhibition hall was good with lots of information (and hands on) exhibits about the system. The displays have some excellent photos of the system but what it really lacks is a decent guidebook / photo album / history of the system. The museum are aware of this as they have had a number of similar comments and will be addressing it. Well worth a visit.

It's great, had a preview tour prior to the full opening in a couple of months, but bookings are available now for the opening so get on and book.

There will be a train ride along the original mail rail tunnels around Mount Pleasant, with lots of stores and exhibits along the journey.

User

I thought ' what a fab day ' the train ride through the tunnels, the exhibition and

the museum, something there for young and old, also highly recommend the ' Apple Tree ' pub on the corner !!

User

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Postal Museum and my ride on the Mail Train.

User

I loved it... highly recommend... the staff were great.... the train ride is fantastic which so much history along the way... well worth a visit

User

I had a great visit. But they must do more to highlight where the entrance is. It is a plain glass sliding door in a stone arch. Looks like a window until you get too close and then it opens.

User

Excellent experience, such a fascinating glimpse into the history of not only the Post Office, but also how we have developed, sadly writing an actual letter and posting it, is not as popular as times gone by. Fun for all the family and of course those who love trains. Highly recommend.

User

An exciting unusual experience under the streets of central London - see how the mail used to move around under the streets - and get to experience the "Mail Rail" yourself.

The exhibits and support facilities are modern, clean and well thought through to provide an interesting experience for all ages. Safe and exciting for the very young and Grandparents alike.

User

Amazing place, so fascinating to find out what went on beneath people's feet for years just to get our mail from one side of London to the other side. Great to experience the journey of a letter on the train and see the abandoned tunnels. Brilliant interactive displays that explain things for everyone! Nice to see something slightly different in London. A must!!

User

All aboard! Brilliant experience, lovely exhibition, highly recommended

User

A very enjoyable visit. The interactive displays were great. So much to do and see for all ages. A fascinating look into the history of Royal Mail and especially enjoyed the Mail Rail

User

The ride itself is great, with imaginaive audio-visual presentations along the way, but it's a shame that the trip only lasted 17 minutes. Full marks to the accompanying exhibition. The staff are very friendly. The only downside is the shop, full of either very over-priced nonsense or aimed at really young children. I would have expected a at least a good, accurate map of the rail system - disappointing.

User

The mail train and exhibition were very good but we didn't get to see the museum, as it closed at 5pm and as our train was booked for 3.55pm. This didn't leave enough time to take the train ( which was running a little late ) view the exhibition and then cross over the road for the museum- so rather disappointed.
