When there are Autumn days like these ¤ŹéŌśö’ĖÅ¤Źé, the only thing we crave is warm and sweet harvest flavours. Good job our newest guest trader @humblecrumblelondon has set up shop for the next few weeks then. - With options such as warm ¤ŹÄŌĆÖs soaked in spiced cyder, s/w the crumbliest of toppings ( obviously ¤Öä), the rain drops become a friend not a foe. -... 'Tucked away down a back street, not far from big sibling Borough Market, Maltby Street Market is a treat for all the senses every weekend. Sights of delicious treats, smells of hot, fresh food being prepared, the sounds of the bustle of the market and the taste of all the delicious foods linger temptingly in the air: a must visit for any foodie.'

It has a rundown of some of the more unusual and unknown hotspots in the city - A must read for those not too familiar to London.
Our recommendation is starting your day off on the Ropewalk with some eggs benedict and fresh juice, before nipping across town to take in the antiquities at John Soane'...s House.

This weekend market is an exciting compliment to this buzzing locale as a whole. The offshoot from the more famous Borough Market attracts local residents and from those from nearby neighbouring areas alike. It serves an interesting range of trendy food and organic produce, as well as craft beers and bubbblies. Atmosphere is lively but relaxing. A nice weekend pass time location.

User

Such an amazing place. Small but all the vendors you could possibly want. The Gyoza Guys, 5 for ┬Ż6 were amazing. My first try of raclette by Raclette Brothers was absolutely delicious. At the end of the market you'll find Jenson's gin, a great rhubarb flavoured one I would recommend.

User

Such a wonderful atmosphere, people were friendly and honestly, this was the best street I have ever tasted.

User

Steak sandwiches, chicken & waffles, falafel, Carribean, Bloody Marry's and Mimosas or Artisinal gins...take your pick. This place has EVERYTHING.

User

SO much fabulous food and so little time! Would definitely like to have tried more as it all looked and smelt fantastic. Had the Oyster Taster with a glass of Prosecco and the best eggs benedict I've had in a long time and finished off with wonderful French cakes and great coffee. Will definitely make a bee line for it on our next visit to London.

User

One of Londons hidden gems. Amazing food and drink, great selection for meat and veggie as well as desserts and alcohol. Easy to find (with navigation) and not far from underground stations. A must see in London. Only open weekends.

User

Love this place the food is amazing the variety is brilliant just a fun place also the craft beer helps to .the best burgers you can get from African volcano and we also love the gyoza guys to.

User

It's a great food market in the centre London. Fantastic food and drinks a destination for your Saturday stroll around London ’┐Į

User

I really love this place - something for everyone, and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend a burger from the guys at African Volcano, pricy for street food but worth every last penny (my personal recommendation is the Dirty Streaker). And the Caribbean jerk guy, that chicken wrap is the bomb. If you're really lucky the French bakery will be doing tartiflette outside, too and then you'll be absolutely spoiled for choice. And don't forget to go and see the lovely chap at M Wines for a tasting, he's the best!

User

Highly recomended!! We Tried a LOT of good food, beverages, snack etc and evetything (we tried) was truely excellent. Well worth a visit or be there all the time

User

Had a fab day. All food was amazing that we tried. Everything we didnŌĆÖt try looked just as good just a shame we couldnŌĆÖt try everything. Only thing I could have a small grumble is as it does get busy where there is space not used by a stall maybe some seating could be put there for people to use. Other than that definitely worth a visit

User

Great place with excellent food choices. The steak and fries are amazing. Combine it with a beer at Maltby & Greek and you're in the money. Love this gem

User

Great foodie market!!

User

Fantastic! Foodie heaven! Our fav The Walrus & The Carpenter - best oysters & breakfast menu! The lady Bird - gorgeous Rhubarb Gin with pink grapefruit! Gyozas - the best! Great Beer tasting! Torino - excellent! The Greek place - The Hungry Donkey - great Greek food. Maltby Street must for all serious foodies ¤æŹ¤śŹps great brownies

User

Best Market in London! A hidden hem just 5 mins away from Tower Bridge, a must go to!

User

Tasty but $$$$$

Lots of variety and great smells whilst navigating the crowds.

User

Not really my thing but no doubt a good place to take the ladies for unusual /interesting dinner experience (if I was still in the entertaining ladies market), very much a hipster, foodie place.

User

Foodies heaven ¤śĆ¤æŹ¤Å╗. Small enough so you see it all and not get overwhelmed but enough to keep you interested !

Bad Brownies - omg so good !!

Will definitely visit again ¤śĆ

User

Loved the atmosphere, & the variety of food available. Very disappointed in what I ate. 'Waffle On' chicken & waffles... nothing like the picture I'd seen online. Both the waffle & chicken were over cooked, & the portion size was laughable. All for ┬Ż7.50! I may visit Maltby Street again in the future, but I won't be eating waffles!!
