The Golden chopstick Awards .
We were in mandarin palace on Friday night for daughters birthday. All really good, 7of us, kids wanted diluted juice, disappointed as we were charged ā¬1.60 per jug fir water with splash if orange/black currant. Maybe we are spoiled here in donegal but we have never been charged for same!, also small portion of curry sauce 2.40, pity as everything else is such good value. Staff excellent, atmosphere comfortable, food great, kids loved it as it was their first time there. We used to go to āoldā mandarin - loved it. Best of luck Stanley and staff.

The best Singapore Chow Mein I've tasted and the service was second to none. Thanks for a lovely meal and to the waiter Mark - you haven't changed a bit, and we will be back ļæ½
The best Restaurant in the north west. Great food and lovey staff .
I was here tonight celebrating my birthday with my family. I have never met staff so pleasant and helpful in all the places I have ever been too. The service was top class and the food was amazing. I could not fault this place in any way possible. Great music and atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. I can not wait to go back again.
I have just returned from my mother and father's 65th birthday meal an I have to say that it was the most lovely experience from booking it, to having our meal an for looking out for all our needs. The food an service was amazing ! Thank you so much ļæ½

Food is really beautiful. Was in with a large group and have to say was amazed at how fast we were served our food. Service was amazing too.
Fabulous food, exceptional deserts, great service with lots of extra wee touches, special requests no problem to them and excellent value! My man forgot his wallet and they kept it for him, even tried to find him on facebook to tell him! Thank you again! Kenny & Adeline
Dined here last night with my husband, fantastic service and staff with special mention to Adrian who looked after us very well. Food delicious with very generous portions, had ribs and mushrooms for starters and the sweet n sour chicken and Cantonese style chicken for mains all could not be faulted. Unable to manage a dessert as we were stuffed. Beautiful refurbished restaurant with lovely staff and food. Win win!!! Will definitely be back.
Arrived and got taken in straight away didnāt wait long for our table staff where welcoming canāt complain they wer great at making sure all was good with the meal which was really good I had the Singapore chow main it was really nice loved it my partner had the duck which he said was amazing. Will deffo be back again š
Absolutely gorgeous place to eat,
Lovely staff & beautiful foodļæ½(ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½)
I love the Mandarin Palace, however the sign outside is very misleading and should be changed. The ā¬1 = Ā£1 only applies to the restaurant. I ordered by phone and was quite confused when seeing all the signs inside the takeaway where ā¬1 = 85p. ļæ½ better signage outside is required. This could lead to false marketing claims.
We have been here a few times. Kids love seeing 'Elvis' and enjoy all the wee touches (prawn crackers, fortune cookies, lollies etc)
Came up last nite for a treat (we live 40 mile away) but were a little disappointed. Portions were much smaller than normal and food just wasn't as great. We were approached twice whilst eating our food and asked if we were finished and if they could clear our table. Felt we were being rushed and taking up a table. Won't be back in a hurry!
Why take bookings if you donāt have the capacity ! Booked a table for 7:30pm and it was complete mayhem. After waiting and waiting no table available. Customer service appalling!
What a bad experience - my friend had booked a table for 7.30 on sat night, was directed toward a waiting area where people who had not booked a table were eating, take-away style - waited 45 mins without any uptake on my table watching others eat before I had enough and went to KFC style place nearby - very disappointing as I was looking forward to a night out all week.
Was here tonight. Got a small side of curry like a dip was 2.40. My veg in my salt and chilli chicken was uncooked and my partners rice was hard. 55 pounds was ridiculous for such a bad meal. Totally unpleased for such a good restaurant
I visited the Mandarin Palace yesterday evening. To start positively the starter was very nice ā vegetable spring rolls. For main I ordered spicy chicken- the sauce was more sweet than spicy. That would have been ok until I tackled the chicken- I couldnāt cut through most pieces never mind eat them. Tried one bite and I couldnāt eat any more. It felt like I was chewing through grizzle, nothing short of disgusting. Wrapped a few pieces and took them home to check what I had eaten, did little better with a sharper knife. No one came during the meal to ask how we were finding our meals. My two friends found their meals poor, not quite as bad as mine but not what they expected. When told how we found the mains, we were offered complementary coffee/tea which to be honest our hearts didnāt lie to, so we didnāt accept. When we were leaving the waitress asked if we were heading on somewhere for the night- I said no I am going to get something to eat. At no time did I hear an apology. There was no reduction offered on our bill. Maybe my meal was a one off and to be fair they did become busy.
