"When I started my career, someone said to me, "the problem with you is that you are a foreigner. You speak with an accent and you dress like a foreigner. I don’t know what to do with you."
I was so hurt. So I thought, maybe I’ll change the way I dress. I’ve been blessed because I’ve had mentors and supporters around me that looked past that; "You don’t have to dress a certain way. You don’t have to look a certain way.""

"TV and film is instant. You have to make interesting choices and be on it, immediately. There’s very little time to let something stew. Very little time to get good and I think that is what I’ve learnt about what makes a good performer these days, is the speed at which they can just pull something out of the bag."

Fantastic website and one of the main websites i use exclusively to recruit for cast and crew. Mandy has a plethora of talented people and the 1 free ad per month makes it worth the time to join up and search for help :)

User

Mandy-dot-com helped me cast my indie prod without much muss or fuss.

I actually have landed work across the country and outside of the country through this site. It's a good site. :)

User

I preferred when it was Casting Call Pro. Don’t know what’s up with the page design, but I can’t log out? It takes AGES to find the log out button but its hidden in many categories and because its at the bottom of the page, the titles jump when trying to press the bottom category and it opens every other page except the one I want? I need to be able to log out easily when I choose to! Never had any problems when it was CCP.

Mandy seems like a great place to look for legitimate film/industry work, but I have to say that I have never gotten one job from a mandy listing ever. In years. Yet, I still look because it seems organized and well-formatted. On the surface. Underneath, mandy is basically craigslist for film, and poorly run. They merged with filmandtvpro somehow, and while it's still free, you are unable to unsubscribe from the email newsletters otherwise forfeit your profile membership. The worst of it is the customer service. They have no idea what is going on, or how their site works. I honestly wonder if they've ever seen the site. Once I had issues with trying to remove the Google map from my profile, since it clearly pinpointed my private residence, and the person who responded had no idea. I figured it out myself through a lot of googling and poring through their confusing account settings. Then I told the rep how to do it. I told them how to fix a feature on their own website. The last straw was this week, when I tried to list my location in the classifieds section. I saw nearly a dozen other listings posted from personal accounts, so I made an ad. It was rejected on the grounds that I need to do a service listing, rather than a personal post, and locations are not allowed in the classifieds. I've tried to do a service profile about 400 times, and it dumps me into the filmpro site with a banner that reads PAGE NOT FOUND at the top. I tell them this, and include at least 6 links to other classified listings for locations. After I get stupid, automated responses from Rep 1, I'm handed off to Rep 2 whose response states that they no longer allow it and those are listings from years ago. And that I need to do a service listing. 1. Why in the hell are classifieds from 6? years ago still on your site? Especially when no longer allowed? 2. Did you not hear the part where your website is broken and I've tried to do a service listing a dozen times??? This is just another unpleasant experience in a long line of incompetency. Granted, it's a free site, but I did pay for a 2 month membership to see if it made any difference. Other than being able to list photos and video links, nothing changed. No extra work came of it, the customer service did not improve. I've only ever gotten one reply for an inquiry I placed for a vague listing, and it turned out to be an unpaid seminar thousands of miles away. Maybe it's a better resource for actors, but as a crew member.. underwhelming.

As a media consultant and a producer who hires , I'd say Mandy has made a huge mistake by revamping their strategy and charging job seekers for the privilege of searching for the same jobs that are available on other sites for free! Believe me there are plenty of ways to make an income from a well trafficked sites. Obviously job seekers are not in the position to spend extra $$. AS it is this site ishould reconsider their MO!! And sorry for this low grade review. After all, these reviews are here to help businesses improve.

This new Casting Call Pro is awful! What happened Mandy? It's like you're begging for any other website to come in and drive you out of business.

They are stealing jobs from other sites and not even posting the correct application details...total scam/waste of time. I should know...I'm chairing the two search committees for the two positions they ripped from other sites.

It was bad enough when it was free - now it costs it's a waste of both money and time. Don't be exploited, find film jobs that respect you as a person.

User

Haven't scored a single paid job through Mandy in 4 years. Not even indirectly. Mandy's takeover of Film & TV Pro is an enormous downgrade to an already egregious service.

User

Formerly free service now locked behind a pay wall. Better start looking somewhere else...

Film & TV Pro/Mandy posts and reposts jobs that are viewable on completely free job listing websites such as Indeed, The Unit List, Grapevine Jobs, The Talent Manager, The Media Directory, Freelance Video Collection, and Media Argh amongst others! And then charges users £20 a month for the ''privilege'' of viewing these jobs online. They also allow people who have absolutely no idea about industry standards or rates to post jobs that fall well below industry standard rates, but because they come under ''above NMW/London Living Wage'' are posted regardless. The people who run this company should be ashamed of themselves!
