Its with great saddness that we have decided not to continue with Manydown Family Fun meaning we will not be opening in 2018. We have had 8 wonderful years operating from Scrapps Hill Farm and have enjoyed every minute.
Due to not owning the site, the investment needed to maintain the high standards we've striven to meet is unfortunately no longer viable.
We'd like to thank all the loyal families who've supported us over the years and kept coming back time and time again.
... Thanks must also go to the great people we've worked with over the years (loads of you) and especially Annie and Greg who have been instrumental to its success.
We wish you all well

we had an amazing day today, such a lovely clean place where the staff are so helpful and friendly. we have sn autistic daughter who for the first time in ages said she was having fun and loved every minute of it! we will definitely be returning at easter! well done and 100% nicer and better than other farms in the area.

User

Went here for the second time and had an amazing time. We spent 6hrs and my nephew still wanted to play. Entry costs Β£9.85 adult and Β£8.85 for children - there are family tickets available online - I would recommend this as it's not exactly cheap. There where goats, various pig breeds, various sheep breeds, llamas, donkeys all the feed (80p a bag). There woodland walk is great for exploring. You can handle chicks, rabbits and Ginny pigs. The staff are wonderful, extremely friendly and didnt rush is with the holding of animals. There are more play things than I can list but sandpit is great for little ones, trampolines and inflatables plus crazy golf. Cafe is very well priced as if the ice cream but facilities for picnics are wide spread.

User

We really enjoyed our day at the farm. Our 3 year old loved the inflatables and we enjoyed the laid back feel of the place. It wasn't too busy and yes, there is less there than, say, Wellington park, but it is a completely different kind of day out. No crowds, less facilities but a more like a little oasis of traditional family fun. We would definitely go back.

User

Visited for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! Nice open space but small enough to be able to watch my toddler no matter where I was. As a single mum to two boys (one of 3 years and one of 6 months) it's generally difficult to find somewhere that my oldest can run freely but this place was perfect. He loved all of the attractions and feeding the animals, the maze kept us all busy for a while and it was a stress free day out for myself!! Thumbs up from me οΏ½

User

Very sorry to hear that you won't be reopening this year, I only hot to visit once in October half term last year and me and my three little ones had an absolute blast. I can't bear the big commercialised farms with sweaty indoor soft play etc...good luck with everything and thanks for helping male such great memories for my family οΏ½

User

Took my son today for the be a farmer experience with farmer Greg and he absolutly loved it.. Greg was excellent at explaining everything that goes into running the farm and my son had a fantastic time.. would totally recommend and we will be booking up again

User

The weather wasn't exactly sunbathing level but it worked in our favour as when the sun did come out there weren't too many people there so we got to spend as much time as we wanted feeding and playing with the animals without the crowds.

It's not a huge place but its perfect for younger children and it's nice to see a farm not trying to be something else and keeping it simple .

We got our first set of full belly laughs from our 4 month old little boy watching his aunty fed the goats so that was pretty special.

Lovely afternoon out despite the weather

User

It was amazing. I went to see the animals, and not only did I get to see them but I also got to feed them. Well priced and insanely fun for both adults and children who love animals. :) Will definitely go again and recommend all animal lovers to go! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. So much love for this place and the animals there! οΏ½

User

I love many down. Real family friendly vibe. Like a little oasis in the madness. Will definitely be back. The farm shop is just beautiful.

User

A perfect autumn day, carving pumpkins and playing! The set up at Manydown is so well thought out - my four year old and two year old love it there, as do my friends children, who are slightly older.

User

A lovely place to take the children for a day out. Our grandchildren loved it and chatted about the things they did all the way home in the car! Lovely memories made to cherish.. Lots to do and see. They loved the animal handling corner and the sheep race plus they witnessed a lamb take its first breath in one of the Barnes as we were passing by. Staff friendly and helpful and great facilities for washing hands after animal handling. They even had sun cream available to use for the children if needed! Would have loved to have taken them through the maze and let them go pony riding but these two events are only open in the summer. Well worth a visit. οΏ½

User

Well on the plus side we had a very nice day out with grandchildren there price not bad at all .food from cafe good .pumpkin carving very good .stayed for 4 hours .you do however need good weather we had a beautiful day hot and sunny.the down side toilets need more of them and need to be kept clean. Also long wait to get into the farm and waiting for food again long wait could be organised much better .will return next summer if weather good

User

We've been coming to Manydown for 4 years now, both in the summer and for pumpkin carving and always have a great time. However, the most recent visit was let down by the awful toilets, which have needed replacing the whole time we've been coming. They are too small, have dangerous steps and were dirty. Please can we have new loos with good baby change facilities?

User

We had a lovely day yesterday and there was so much for my toddler to see and do. The only down part was when water was leaking into the bouncy castle and my toddler got covered in dirty water and was soaked, sadly I'd not brought any spares ☹️ A bit disappointed with the reaction from the staff!

User

My son and nephew loved running wild. Feeding and holding the animals.

Lots of fun.

Just one criticism when in the cafe i asked the man doing food if someone could warm up my daughter's bottle. He said he didn't have time and carried on. Luckily a nice young lad from the back heard me and warmed my 4 month olds bottle up. Thank you.

User

It's was my 1st time at merrydown farm its only 5mins from us dont now why i hadn't been before my grandson was worn out time he enjoyed himself.will go again.lovely little farm

But could do with more things for older children

Once again great day out.

User

A lovely and fun place for little ones. my 2 year old had lots of fun. A bit overpriced for what it is but I like going there. Unfortunately the cafe was disappointing. ... we ordered burgers and the meat was hard to find in the bun... so tiny. I actually laughed when I saw it! The bun was out of the fridge cold. And the chips were awful too... we also waited for a coffee for about 15 minutes... well next time we'll bring a picnic so we can fully enjoy the day there.

User

Had a day out here with grandkids. They had fun, I didn't. Yes they had great staff who were helpful and friendly, however, entry was expensive for what was on offer. The food was outrageously overpriced.... 3.50 for a tin of soup warmed up.... Nah. That's just wrong. If you are going to charge me premium prices for food then it better be a premium item you are supplying.... The Burger may well have been hand made but it was so small it was lost in the standard sized Burger bun..... I won't even mention the 3 quid for an extra pumpkin (not even home grown). Yes kids had fun, but I don't think a return trip is on the cards. Cheaper and better farm visits are available in my opinion

User

Having visited Manydown twice in the last 3 or so weeks I would not recommend as a place to go. Not a place I will return to without lowering the price.

Your prices are far too expensive for what is there or should I say not there.

For a similar price we have been to

Finkley Down Farm, Wellington Country Park, 4 Kingdoms and Alice Holt Woods (you only pay for parking). All were fantastic.

Finkley Down Farm has a lovely layout, better facilities, more animals and most importantly an indoor play area.

Wellington Country Park which although requires a little extra for the train and quad bikes, I would say is a 100% a better day out. Plus a farm area included within the park.

4 Kingdoms, again a similar price. You get a lot more for your money and a much better day out for all.

The only saving grace with Manydown being that both my children loved the petting area, where they enjoyed time holding rabbits, guinea pigs and chicks. If that hadn't been the case I would have given a 1star.
