Don’t know about the hotel itself but the terrace is ok. Love the sound of the waves. Cold beer, nice view and good vibes.

The best parma ham wrapped chicken in a mushroom sauce I have ever had! Served piping hot with lovely crunchy veg! Spot on! :-)
Awful location. A little bit like Faulty Towers. The waiter was excellent otherwise I would give 1 star. Loud noisy road to the front but excellent sea views and a little quieter at the back. Awful view of the nearby power station. About 1/4 mile to the side.
Booked 5 nights here April 15th for our anniversary. Initially we were delighted when we got into the room. The view is magnificent and there can't be many hotels so close to the sea.
I had arranged for flowers in my room on our arrival but there was no sign of them. Seems they were delivered on time but were not taken to our room.
As for the room? It was clean but we did smile at the mismatched cups. I did wonder why they were still the same cups after 5 days though. Can only assume they received a cursory rinse and finger scrub under the bathroom tap each day. Hmmmm tasty!
The beds (twin) were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean but could do with a towel rail.
Breakfast? Simple, well cooked. One sausage, one bacon, one egg, beans and mushrooms.
Not many people took advantage of the dining room other than breakfast. We however did try dinner on the last night. There are restaurant's near by and many excellent ones in St Helier. There is a convenient telephone on the bar to use when you want service which is very thoughtful.
When we left for our evening flight we did discover that a bag of souvenirs (including alcohol) had disappeared from our room. Not sure if the cleaner had mistakenly thrown the bag in the trash but the manager wasn't in the least bit interested.
Also a friendly warning if you prebook your taxi. Ours turned up and was told initially that no one of our name was in the hotel. After the taxi driver enquired further the manager did admit we were in the hotel but were not leaving till the next morning. Thankfully our persistent cabbie managed to contact us and off we went to the airport.
We've had a wonderful holiday despite the above. If you don't expect too much for your money then you will find the Metro a great place to stay as long as you get the sea facing rooms. It's your choice. Metro: relaxing, clean and fantastic view with a hint of Fawlty Towers or an over priced, tower block in town with no soul or view. Me, I like a laugh!
Great beach location, close to st helier, well stocked bar, slightly overpriced on the food (although a great quality, is more expensive in comparison to what you can get in the area). Fantastic hosting, and very friendly staff.
Perfect location good food just wished the bar had been open a little longer look forward to my 7th visit to marina this year
I have been twice since hotel was upgrade to a very good standard, I would stay there when I next visit Jersey again
