We were a table of 6. All our food was cooked well, it tasted delicious, was reasonably priced and the service was excellent.

I've been here quite a few times recently and I can't fault it. Last night I took my daughter and the meal was lovely. Waitress was very very nice and helpful and even put some ice cream and sweets in a cup for us to take away Haddock was beautiful and staff always polite. Only bad comment I'd make is they took the king prawns off the menu. Bring it back!! (not joking!!)

User

I ate off the gluten free menu. It was lovely and even had by chocolate cake for dessert.

User

Got there at 730pm on a Friday night and the resturant was fully booked but was room in the bar.

Ordered our drinks and food and even though they was busy food came out quick and hot. Could not fault the food or the service we had.

Good friendly staff and enjoyed our meals.

Popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was very busy. The staff were rushed off their feet. But all remained friendly and polite. Breakfast took a while to arrive but was well worth it. We loved it. Did have to wait a while for coffee cups and quite a bit missing from the continental menu. But assume its just because it was busy. We love the Berry mix but it wasn't there. Other than that... 3 very full and happy customers. Thank you

User

It was ok, but only just. Gone downhill since our last visit in December.

User

I've been visiting here for years, and up until recently, it's not so great anymore, whereas we use to highly recommend it.

The food is OK, and not delicious as it use to be, and 2/3rds of the staff are so rushed, this can be perceived as rudeness when approaching with a question.

I'm patient, and will return, but I think things need to change, or business will suffer.

Went there last night for my 60th Birthday with family and friends. Really slow service. Took 3 hours for our meal. One of our party didn't get their starter till the rest of us had finished. We ordered bottle of rose wine and had to send it back as it was white. Forgot one of our drinks. All the meals were lukewarm and the steak was the toughest I have ever had. The waiter never asked if everything was ok but I thought it was obvious it wasn't by the amount of food left on the plates. Would not go back again

User

Well, we've just had a very disappointing experience at the Table table on seafront. We waited 45mins for our starter to arrive, managed to get a refund as it appears that they had "lost the order" eventually we got the starter and then waited 25 minutes for main meal. Once again went to the bar to ask whether we were going to get our main meal and were told that they were cooking it! The restaurant was not busy so there was no reason for the unacceptable long wait. We left the restaurant and won't be going there again!!

User

The roast potatoes ..wernt, the Christmas pudding was miniscule ,the salmon was dry, service was as good as one could expect, but then they dont cook the food or dish it up,my second visit thought it may have improved...it hasn't...

User

So rang up this morning spoke to someone about booking a table for 12 man says Its fine not for 6 but for half 5 and he will go out back look at it manually and ring me back well just rung them back to be told by someone else there is no table avaliable and they cant do it yet didnt have the decency to ring me back thanks

User

Slow service , food sent back as was under cooked , then it was reheated and the rest of the meal was then cold, under staffed in the kitchen, poor guy front of house was doing his best , but it has seriously made me think of never going back there , it used to be a lot better.

Went to eat at marine court this evening, 2adults 2kids so not exactly a big party, it wasn’t busy either (plenty of table spaces) yet we got turned away due to the fact there were only 2 members of staff

working the restaurant area, only to see on our way out another member of staff arriving. Absolutely disgusted, I have 2 very hungry children. Who runs their restaurant on 2 members of staff on a Sunday afternoon? More importantly, who turns business away when they’re not overly busy?

User

Well where do I start , first of all I very rarely complain but this was awful from the start , I know it was Mother’s Day and we were prepaired to wait but we were sat in a comer that was so dark we had to use our torch on the phone to read the menu , then it took 45 mins to get the starter which in fact was ok but cold , we then waited for our main course which was another hour , my mum bless her hasn’t false teeth but could not chew the roast beef the potatoes were meant to be roast but in fact was soggy in the center and they could not even cook a frozen Yorkshire , I had a Stilton burger that you could actually play frisbee with , I’m so sorry to say this but it was awful and won’t be returning

We use to have lovely meals here but recently it has gone downhill, when we arrived yesterday it was nice and quiet and we were seated straight away. They came and took our order all was good when our starter came out the sharing platter it was very over done with burnt garlic bread over done prawns and the blue cheese dip my favourite was all separated and just a bowl of oil. We put it down to a bad starter but didn't think much off it as you get the bad dishes at times then came our mains, the children's burger was very dry and overdone, the children's curry was just nuked in the microwave and not very nice, we ordered for the adults the buttermilk chicken and Stilton burger and the cluck and ale burger, the cluck and ale burger was a little overdone but edible the chicken and Stilton burger came out with a slice of cheddar when we mentioned this to the waitress we were told there was no Stilton but they gave us this blue cheese dip again (separated and oily) and so we sent it away and ordered something else how a restaurant runs out of cheese I don't know, by now we had decided to have dessert else where as the food won't meeting standards today and the table was cleared for the waiter to knock over a glass of coke down myself and my babies pushchair we cleaned it up and asked for the bill, and asked a manger to have the coke taken off will not be eating here again

This place has gone up and down over the years but yesterday shall be our final visit. I tried to reserve a table on the phone and got told "There's no point, it's dead here today" quite abruptly. This wasn't brilliant but i didnt mind that much. Arrived then had to wait for approx 5 to 10 minutes whilst the staff finished their conversation before being seated. I should add they saw us there but ignored us and there were others in the queue. The annoying bit was in our party there was 2 elderly people, who have walking difficulties so needed a seat so we sent them to the bar to a seat to wait. Then after that the serving staff were polite and courteous but the service was ridiculously slow. We had a main course and desert and it took almost 3 hours for the whole thing and there was no staff in the restaurant area apart from when the food came out. The restaurant was completely empty except 1 other table from what we could see and they were voicing the same issues. Afterwards when we spoke to the manager on duty he just said "Sorry about that" and he didnt really seem to care in any way and didnt ask us for any further feedback or comments.

Earlier in the week, we booked a table on the phone on Monday evening for the same evening for 7:30 only to arrive and be told "we have staff training at 8:30 so the restaurant will need to be empty and the food finished". Why weren't we informed in advance? During the phone call at 4pm, this would have helped. So in the end we walked out before eating.

So basically, the food is ok (at a stretch) but the service is really bad. Wouldn't recommend.

If you are looking for a manager with attitude this is the place to go Our waitress was initially excellent, she had a break during our meal and no cover was arranged whilst she was on her break. Our food was served by another waiter. However one of the meals was not as described, being what looked like a child’s portion, missing some of the listed ingredients and the fries on 3 of the meals were very over cooked. No one came to ask how the meal was, and we were totally ignored, despite trying to catch the eye of various members of staff. When we did complain ( to 2 separate people) we were fobbed off. The bill came with no reference to our complaint. The manager explained the bill , and it was only after I expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction 3 times she eventually reduced the bill by a small amount. We all felt that she didn’t really care, and her “apology “ was one of the most insincere I’ve ever heard. We will not visit this restaurant again.

User

Food Not great, quite slow. Did not think it was good value for money. Waitress very polite & helpful. Go back every now & then hoping it will improve... But unfortunately not! There is a reason everywhere else in Dover was fully booked and here only a handfull of customers!! Shame!

User

Booked a table off 6.

Was told to order food quickly as there was a party of 100+ coming in. So started ordering sorry we don’t have that. Sorry that’s not available. The party that was coming in had pre ordered most of what we wanted. So ordered other meals. The food was terrible. Complained to the manager about the stiff cardboard like lasagna. And asked him to come have a look. He said no problem will discount all main meals by 40%. Without even looking or questioning. As if they knew it was rubbish. Manager clothes looked like he’d been wearing them for months. Really not a nice place. And no big party turned up. Disgraceful.
