User

We found the pub very friendly. Staff were really nice. Menu looked good but we did not try as we had already Eaton

User

Good honest pub grub, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and just off Oxford Street if you don’t fancy a fast food restaurant.

User

Really good if you don't like disabled people.

The manager was prompt in removing one from the venue and getting rid of their full beverage, due to taking issue with their folded mobility equipment outside.

Only giving three stars because of the (very faint) whiff of pee inside.

User

Not the greatest service and staff weren’t very polite. Not even a thank you, but a bad face instead, for helping the waiter with the door

User

Lovely pub but no paper straws for drinks agree no plastic straws save the planet but paper recyclable get up with Wetherspoons guys

User

There were some Very Rude and Aggressive Guys next to my table and I had to move so they would NOT injure me and the manager when I brought it to his attention just laughed and continued to talk to his pal!

Customer service is very bad and definitely in all the years I have been coming to UK the worst pub I have been !

User

Food was ok. Table service wasn’t good at all. The waitress delivered our desert with the word “Cake” and almost threw it on the table. No spoons for eating desert, so I had to eat custard with a fork.

A knife was dropped by the waitress and it was still on the floor when we left...

Toilets were filled with black mold in the ceiling.

The bartender was on the other hand fabulous and the ambience of the restaurant was excellent!

User

Very bad service. Staff “all over the place”. Thought I was invisible at the bar as it too forever to have my order taken. Waiting ages for the food. Food was fine but you wouldn’t want to be in a hurry...

User

This is for someone else!!! Disgraceful you should be ashamed of yourself

Moan time.

Most of you know I can’t walk now without crutches. And when I need to go a bit further I use my little Brompton bike.

Biking around London yesterday I decided to have quick pint outside at a bar called the Marlborough Head just off Oxford Street.

I’d not even had a sip of my pint when a guy who claimed to be the manager came out and shouted aggressively “ get that bike away from here and put it across the road” I told him I was disabled and this is what I use instead of a wheelchair. He said “ I don’t care if your disabled it’s a Bike. Get it away from here”.

I tried to reason with him but he just said I’m the manager and I don’t want you near my pub. He picked up the pint that I’d never touched, took it away and told me to clear off.

Fuming.

Terrible service! The staff started picking fights with the customers. This place need some serious customer service training. Won't be back!

Someone from my cycling club has just posted this experience. Can you please provide an explanation, and also let us know the steps you will be taking in response? Thank you.

I think it's absolutely appalling that you would discriminate against a disabled person in this way! No one should be treated like that. Reading other reviews it seems you're staff are in need of extensive training in people skills and good general customer care and service. ďż˝

Discrimination means treating you unfairly because of who you are. The Equality Act 2010 protects you from discrimination...

Possibly a good idea to have you're staff well versed on this act in future!

User

I am absolutely disgusted by the way you treated the disabled gentleman who visited your establishment the other day!!! Shame on you manager!! Hope no one ever treats one of your family with so much disgrace!

Don't go in there: The best thing to say about this place is that the average food is Ok. I wont even mention the toilets. I had a really bad experience with the staff here this weekend. First we moved a small table and two chairs so we could sit together as a group and one waitress asked us about it. She looked like we had redecorated the whole pub and she couldn't recognise were she was. We told her we could put it back right away, but then suddenly it was ok, as long as we promised to do it when we left. So far, so good. When I went to the counter to pay for my meal and a glass of wine at table 209, another waitress misunderstood and started to fill a glass. I apologized and told her I already had the wine and the food, I was just paying for what I already had. She got really mad, and said I should have told her before she sent the order, and I said I was sorry but I already did tell her. She made me feel really bad about myself, and started an argument about how to pay for a table, in front of a lot of other customers behind me. I told her I was sorry again and again, trying to defend myself by telling her I already had told her I wanted to pay my bill. But she kept on with her really bad attitude, and finally she told me she had cancelled the order and swore against me. I think she made a fool of herself in the end, when she started taking orders from the other guests in line with the same grumpy face and attitude as she showed me. I am a nice person and I've never been treated like this any other place. This customer service is scandalous, and I will never go back here again. Shame on you!

Disgusting toilets !!! I will never comeback, I can’t imagine how the kitchen is ...

Absolutely shocking service... not one of the bar staff had any manners and all very miserable.... they had hardly anything on sale and when we asked for any alternative she just shrugged her shoulders ... toilets were disgusting... no soap or toilet paper would not recommend this pub at all !
