We've just returned from a short weekend break away in our touring caravan. Can I just say what a lovely time we all had. Toilets and showers were clean. Microwaves for The tourers to use ect... The entertainment staff were lovely. A special thanks to the lady that was from Manchester (sorry I can't remember her name) she was brilliant... fantastic with the kids.. the only moan I have was the field was so boggy due to weather but that isn't the parks fault at all.. and another special thanks to the tractor driver for coming to pull us off as we were stuck lol!

We just had the best week at martello beach. Caravans were spotless. Site clean as usual. Staff lovely. Only criticism is lack of air con in club house. Won't stop us coming back for an 8th year tho!! Great place for families!!

Thanks so much Martello beach. We loved our stay. We came with 2 dogs and 2 children. It was our first caravan holiday and we were very nervous. Our caravan was immaculate and so lovely and way above our expectations. My husband though was stressed out to learn that there is no maid service and you have to wash your own dishes and even make your own bed lol!!! The beach was so close and everything and everyone seemed so dog and kid friendly it was brilliant. Beautiful beach. We booked a non dog caravan and when I phoned the reception the day before we arrived they were brilliant and soon sorted out a dog friendly caravan for us. We had to wait 45 mins on our second night for food and some people were complaining about this but with so much to do while waiting for our food we didn’t mind and our kids played in the park and on the amusements. Really if you have kids and dogs this is such a nice holiday especially if the weather is nice. Thanks so much Martello Beach we had a wonderful good old British seaside caravan holiday and we loved it.

For all you did with my son. You went the extra mile to make sure he was safe in the water. Knew all what you had to do if we had an issue. Thank you so much. For making a very poorly baby have the chance to enjoy something he normally cannot do

Me and my daughter had the best time at Martello Beach and we're already planning our next trip,the staff were all amazing and all go the extra mile to help ,keep up the good work,my daughter didn't wanna come home she had such a brilliant time thank you

We was on the tourer field , the kids loved it , my youngest (11) loved the park , my 15 ye old loved that there was plugs everywhere in the complex so she could plug in her iPod and use the free WiFi. The only thing we found was the toilet on the tour field had no toilet rolls all weekend . Overall a fab weekend . Thank you Martello beach

Had a lovely weekend away here. The caravan park is so close to the beach and There’s plenty to do in the area. Had a brief swim which was a disappointing as the pool is very shallow. But the staff were all helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. The restaurant and take away close quite early which was a shame. Overall, a very peaceful, clean and relaxing trip :)

Not bad for the price but the cleanliness of camping toilet/shower block could have been improved as that was what let it down for us. Came this week with 2 families and a dog. Also the clubhouse high temperate was unbearable in the evenings!! The staff working there must be exhausted everynight as I couldn't even sit in there and watch them comfortably as it was too hot inside and so stuffy!!! Would come back again for a cheap and cheerful getaway , please improve cleanliness though....

I came here with my 2 children last week 9/4/18, I was very happy with the caravan it was nice and clean. The only few things I didn’t like was being so close to the club house was so noisy with people leaving. Also the amount of dog mess around the caravans, need a few more bins for the dog mess. Also being so muddy I know this not the parks fault maybe some more paving up to and from caravans would be a idea. Also I found the pool really bad, the changing rooms were dirty, the showers didn’t work, the lockers didn’t work, the water in pool was cold and dirty, as for the lifeguard he was more infested in chatting to other swimmers than watching the pool. Myself and the children enjoyed the evening entertainment was very funny Thursday evening. Overall we had a lovely time.

I came 4 years ago it was a lovely site it meant to be 4star but I wouldn't get it 4star it's really going down hill the showers are not working the disabled toilet got no heating there no hot water in toilets there no handle on the toilets in the shower some of the locks r broken in the toilet so can't use I won't recommend any body to come

Caravan was dirty, curtains broken, blinds broken, radiator that rattled. The clubhouse wasn't much better, first night there someone had clearly had an accident in the toilets; poo all over the floor and cubical walls. Whilst in there a member of staff walked in and saw it and said "I ain't clearing that up!" And promptly walked out. Arcade toilets weren't much better, strong smell of sewage and just generally unclean. We daren't use the pool so can't comment on that. Clubhouse was tatty and you waited hours for glasses to be collected, not like at other parks we have been to. Staff at the bar were incredibly slow too. I guess we got what we paid for, which was a very cheap week away. We know for next time I guess. Very disappointing.

Call me old fashioned but I remember when fire exits were only used incase of emergency ,looked like every fire exit in this place is used by everyone staff included as normal entry /exit .alright if you want to eat in a very cold restaurant ,but then you probably wouldn't notice the cold too much as you'd be to busy listening to the gangs of teenagers using every swear word in the book ,my 7 year old learnt lots of lovely new words ,my advice is don't eat in the restaurant after 5 as that's when it becomes the place for kids of all ages to be left to there own devices ,however if you want a drink with out checking in on the park this is the place for you .no one checks who's coming or going so that's good ,can't work out why we were giving cards ,didn't need to show them to anyone ,would also love to know what job the security had to do. It definitely wasn't to stop kids running around like mad screaming swearing and shouting. Slamming fire doors every 2 minutes or generally doing as they please ,haven for us next year

We thought we had booked into a ghetto when driving in and nearly turned around. Caravan not clean on arrival, grubby when cleaned so not had a good clean. Cooker didn’t work properly, couldn’t get in the swimming pool as it’s so small and have to book. Nowhere to park your car, whole place looks scruffy. People being loud and abusive when asked to keep it down. To top it off I’ve complained with no response, cried on way home that our only holiday a year was awful, holiday ruined.

We arrived yesterday after travelling 6 hours to this site, when we arrived you wouldn’t of thought it was even a holiday park. Cannot park by the caravan so if you can don’t bring to Much. We then got in the caravan to the smell of smoke so it’s meant to be a none smoking caravan but clearly someone had smoked. We found black mould in the shower which is absolutely disgusting, cannot shut any window which again we don’t feel safe at all which is crap as we’re meant to be on holiday!!!!! They also seem to think that the solution to this is to send out a “maintenance manager” the question is why does it take a complaint to reception for your caravan to be cleaned? Absolute disgrace definitely won’t be coming here ever ever again and won’t be staying for the duration of what we are supposed to! Cannot spend another 3 nights here

The worst park we have ever been to! Swearing , 2 physical fights which the security guard did nothing about he stood there smoking! Ran out of most food at 5pm???? Couldnt do bingo as the cash Machine didn't give out cash.. . No look roll in the toilets even after notifying staff. In the morning toilets filled with people being sick!!! I wish I could get my money back my children were so disappointed we were disgusted! And they really needed this holiday. Only positive was the man who showed is where to pitch he was lovely.

Worse park I ever been to I'm here at moment I'm disgusted in this place I'm upset as can't entertain my kids at centre as no kids this only at 6 then it bingo after bingo can't let my.kids play outside tourer site cause glass everywhere also play park area was worse ever !!! People smoking in there and swearing from young kids !!! What else the location it terrible .... the swimming silly too we spend 25 mins in the pool and had get out?? .. the food is dare we thought this was park resort my kid was disappointed that spark wasn't here and without a warning or phone call to say we changing company would still like to stay ..... Everyone unhelpful it horrible place I'm upset really am as i have another week yet and only been here for 2 nights now ... And even thinking packing up an leaving ... also when explain any on the street can get on all reply I've got was we can't stop them coming on !!! Yes you can if they don't fmhave passes or anything they should not be entering the park at all this park isn't safe for anyone

Im giving this site 2 stars which is mostly down to the touring site. we stayed this weekend and left with a distraught child. Vans being smashed trees being vandalised by what seemed to be a group of 3 caravans ... when reported and said we won't be going back the security stated they are seasonal and sounded a bit despondent that there wouldnt be much to be done about it. if i was running this site theyd be off. mindless vandalism and drunken violence isnt a place for taking your children. seasonal or not. they should not be on a family park

The music venue is inadequate when it comes to ventilation. No aircon .. i feel for the bar staff and entertainers as people were on the verge of collapsing and one lady with a heart condition had to leave. Im almost positive it would break health and safety rules the lack of air and the heat in there.

Caravan swarming in ants, smelly, filthy cutlery and cups, cracked drinking glasses, cracked shower floor with mould around plug, mould on pillows,

swimming pool fully booked in advance, children’s entertainment awful, no cash machine on site, shop prices extortionate, fag butts and dog mess outside front door of our caravan. Nothing good to say.

Bought my dad for his birthday for a weekend away, got to the site and set up on the touring site toilets never re stock with toilet roll, showers weren’t working and had to call the park warden at 11:30pm at night due to teenagers/ young adults doing drugs within the gentleman’s toilets and the facility to wash up which is disgraceful and disgusting with young children around.. Thankyou for the warden for turning up quickly but even the warden said it’s a recurring thing with the young adults and teenagers, and we reported into the reception in the morning and they knew nothing about it poor communication between staff. Loud music being played until 3am I understand people come away for fun but no respect for the people around the camp site won’t be returning.

Would come back again for a cheap and cheerful getaway , please improve cleanliness though....

I came here with my 2 children last week 9/4/18, I was very happy with the caravan it was nice and clean. The only few things I didn’t like was being so close to the club house was so noisy with people leaving. Also the amount of dog mess around the caravans, need a few more bins for the dog mess. Also being so muddy I know this not the parks fault maybe some more paving up to and from caravans would be a idea. Also I found the pool really bad, the changing rooms were dirty, the showers didn’t work, the lockers didn’t work, the water in pool was cold and dirty, as for the lifeguard he was more infested in chatting to other swimmers than watching the pool. Myself and the children enjoyed the evening entertainment was very funny Thursday evening. Overall we had a lovely time.

I came 4 years ago it was a lovely site it meant to be 4star but I wouldn't get it 4star it's really going down hill the showers are not working the disabled toilet got no heating there no hot water in toilets there no handle on the toilets in the shower some of the locks r broken in the toilet so can't use I won't recommend any body to come

Caravan was dirty, curtains broken, blinds broken, radiator that rattled. The clubhouse wasn't much better, first night there someone had clearly had an accident in the toilets; poo all over the floor and cubical walls. Whilst in there a member of staff walked in and saw it and said "I ain't clearing that up!" And promptly walked out. Arcade toilets weren't much better, strong smell of sewage and just generally unclean. We daren't use the pool so can't comment on that. Clubhouse was tatty and you waited hours for glasses to be collected, not like at other parks we have been to. Staff at the bar were incredibly slow too. I guess we got what we paid for, which was a very cheap week away. We know for next time I guess. Very disappointing.

Call me old fashioned but I remember when fire exits were only used incase of emergency ,looked like every fire exit in this place is used by everyone staff included as normal entry /exit .alright if you want to eat in a very cold restaurant ,but then you probably wouldn't notice the cold too much as you'd be to busy listening to the gangs of teenagers using every swear word in the book ,my 7 year old learnt lots of lovely new words ,my advice is don't eat in the restaurant after 5 as that's when it becomes the place for kids of all ages to be left to there own devices ,however if you want a drink with out checking in on the park this is the place for you .no one checks who's coming or going so that's good ,can't work out why we were giving cards ,didn't need to show them to anyone ,would also love to know what job the security had to do. It definitely wasn't to stop kids running around like mad screaming swearing and shouting. Slamming fire doors every 2 minutes or generally doing as they please ,haven for us next year

We thought we had booked into a ghetto when driving in and nearly turned around. Caravan not clean on arrival, grubby when cleaned so not had a good clean. Cooker didn’t work properly, couldn’t get in the swimming pool as it’s so small and have to book. Nowhere to park your car, whole place looks scruffy. People being loud and abusive when asked to keep it down. To top it off I’ve complained with no response, cried on way home that our only holiday a year was awful, holiday ruined.

We arrived yesterday after travelling 6 hours to this site, when we arrived you wouldn’t of thought it was even a holiday park. Cannot park by the caravan so if you can don’t bring to Much. We then got in the caravan to the smell of smoke so it’s meant to be a none smoking caravan but clearly someone had smoked. We found black mould in the shower which is absolutely disgusting, cannot shut any window which again we don’t feel safe at all which is crap as we’re meant to be on holiday!!!!! They also seem to think that the solution to this is to send out a “maintenance manager” the question is why does it take a complaint to reception for your caravan to be cleaned? Absolute disgrace definitely won’t be coming here ever ever again and won’t be staying for the duration of what we are supposed to! Cannot spend another 3 nights here

The worst park we have ever been to! Swearing , 2 physical fights which the security guard did nothing about he stood there smoking! Ran out of most food at 5pm???? Couldnt do bingo as the cash Machine didn't give out cash.. . No look roll in the toilets even after notifying staff. In the morning toilets filled with people being sick!!! I wish I could get my money back my children were so disappointed we were disgusted! And they really needed this holiday. Only positive was the man who showed is where to pitch he was lovely.

Worse park I ever been to I'm here at moment I'm disgusted in this place I'm upset as can't entertain my kids at centre as no kids this only at 6 then it bingo after bingo can't let my.kids play outside tourer site cause glass everywhere also play park area was worse ever !!! People smoking in there and swearing from young kids !!! What else the location it terrible .... the swimming silly too we spend 25 mins in the pool and had get out?? .. the food is dare we thought this was park resort my kid was disappointed that spark wasn't here and without a warning or phone call to say we changing company would still like to stay ..... Everyone unhelpful it horrible place I'm upset really am as i have another week yet and only been here for 2 nights now ... And even thinking packing up an leaving ... also when explain any on the street can get on all reply I've got was we can't stop them coming on !!! Yes you can if they don't fmhave passes or anything they should not be entering the park at all this park isn't safe for anyone

Im giving this site 2 stars which is mostly down to the touring site. we stayed this weekend and left with a distraught child. Vans being smashed trees being vandalised by what seemed to be a group of 3 caravans ... when reported and said we won't be going back the security stated they are seasonal and sounded a bit despondent that there wouldnt be much to be done about it. if i was running this site theyd be off. mindless vandalism and drunken violence isnt a place for taking your children. seasonal or not. they should not be on a family park

The music venue is inadequate when it comes to ventilation. No aircon .. i feel for the bar staff and entertainers as people were on the verge of collapsing and one lady with a heart condition had to leave. Im almost positive it would break health and safety rules the lack of air and the heat in there.

Caravan swarming in ants, smelly, filthy cutlery and cups, cracked drinking glasses, cracked shower floor with mould around plug, mould on pillows,

swimming pool fully booked in advance, children’s entertainment awful, no cash machine on site, shop prices extortionate, fag butts and dog mess outside front door of our caravan. Nothing good to say.

Bought my dad for his birthday for a weekend away, got to the site and set up on the touring site toilets never re stock with toilet roll, showers weren’t working and had to call the park warden at 11:30pm at night due to teenagers/ young adults doing drugs within the gentleman’s toilets and the facility to wash up which is disgraceful and disgusting with young children around.. Thankyou for the warden for turning up quickly but even the warden said it’s a recurring thing with the young adults and teenagers, and we reported into the reception in the morning and they knew nothing about it poor communication between staff. Loud music being played until 3am I understand people come away for fun but no respect for the people around the camp site won’t be returning.

We've just returned from a short weekend break away in our touring caravan. Can I just say what a lovely time we all had. Toilets and showers were clean. Microwaves for The tourers to use ect... The entertainment staff were lovely. A special thanks to the lady that was from Manchester (sorry I can't remember her name) she was brilliant... fantastic with the kids.. the only moan I have was the field was so boggy due to weather but that isn't the parks fault at all.. and another special thanks to the tractor driver for coming to pull us off as we were stuck lol!

We just had the best week at martello beach. Caravans were spotless. Site clean as usual. Staff lovely. Only criticism is lack of air con in club house. Won't stop us coming back for an 8th year tho!! Great place for families!!

Thanks so much Martello beach. We loved our stay. We came with 2 dogs and 2 children. It was our first caravan holiday and we were very nervous. Our caravan was immaculate and so lovely and way above our expectations. My husband though was stressed out to learn that there is no maid service and you have to wash your own dishes and even make your own bed lol!!! The beach was so close and everything and everyone seemed so dog and kid friendly it was brilliant. Beautiful beach. We booked a non dog caravan and when I phoned the reception the day before we arrived they were brilliant and soon sorted out a dog friendly caravan for us. We had to wait 45 mins on our second night for food and some people were complaining about this but with so much to do while waiting for our food we didn’t mind and our kids played in the park and on the amusements. Really if you have kids and dogs this is such a nice holiday especially if the weather is nice. Thanks so much Martello Beach we had a wonderful good old British seaside caravan holiday and we loved it.

For all you did with my son. You went the extra mile to make sure he was safe in the water. Knew all what you had to do if we had an issue. Thank you so much. For making a very poorly baby have the chance to enjoy something he normally cannot do

Me and my daughter had the best time at Martello Beach and we're already planning our next trip,the staff were all amazing and all go the extra mile to help ,keep up the good work,my daughter didn't wanna come home she had such a brilliant time thank you

We was on the tourer field , the kids loved it , my youngest (11) loved the park , my 15 ye old loved that there was plugs everywhere in the complex so she could plug in her iPod and use the free WiFi. The only thing we found was the toilet on the tour field had no toilet rolls all weekend . Overall a fab weekend . Thank you Martello beach

Had a lovely weekend away here. The caravan park is so close to the beach and There’s plenty to do in the area. Had a brief swim which was a disappointing as the pool is very shallow. But the staff were all helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. The restaurant and take away close quite early which was a shame. Overall, a very peaceful, clean and relaxing trip :)
