Went for the first time today for lunch. I love leak and potato soup but find most places make a poor version. Not this place, it was lovely. The place is beautiful, and lovely set up. Tables not to close together so you have your own space. Will make more of a habit to call by
Stopped by for a cappuccino and slice of cake a really lovely atmosphere here - I think I’ve found a new favourite coffee stop!
Really lovely fitted interior, nicely priced and great quality food. Would highly recommend.
Popped in on the off chance of getting a table for Sunday lunch. There was one spare so we had the beef dinner - it was lovely. The beef was so tender - served with roasties, Yorkshire, mash and roast parsnip. Then a dish of carrots, peas, mashed swede and another dish of leeks in cheese sauce along with separate gravy. Would recommend the Sunday dinner. Didn’t have a starter or dessert so cost just £8.95 but there’s the option for 2 or 3 courses. Certainly value for money. Will go back again - hope they don’t hike their prices up for the summer season like so many others do!
Lovely visit with my friend today. The food was wonderful as always but I was particularly impressed by the young boy who was extremely polite and outstanding at coffee art
Had a lovely lunch here on Monday food and service was brill
Great visit with friends. Especially loved the coffee art by the young lad who served us.
Food and service was excellent and for 3 of us to eat with drinks included only cost just over £21. Will definately call in again. Well done Martha's kitchen
Came in today for a bite to eat & a coffee. Lovely place, very busy so would advice booking. We had two small breakfast. Fast prompt service & lovely food. We’ll be back soon, thanks Martha’s kitchen!
Came here today 8th february 2018 for a birthday lunch treat with my partner, we both chose the pannini with cheese and sweet apple chutney filling, followed with a cappucino it did not disappoint, service and food excellent, I shall be going back x
Called yesterday for the first time lovely and clean very modern food very good staff very friendly if were over that side again we will definitely call back there we usually go to honeybough nurserie tea rooms which I think are the same company both very good places to eat..
Booked a table there yesterday for my birthday requested one by the window which we had food was lovely and we'll presented staff friendly and place was very busy. .I will definitely eat here again
4 of us had Easter Sunday lunch which was excellent loads of deliciously cooked meat and vegetables service brilliant. We will be returning soon highly recommended
We called in for Sunday lunch which we had not reserved. It was absolutely delicious. We had the roast lamb and the vegetables were first class. I did have a pudding which was disappointing as it was rather dry and there was no offer of cream ice cream or custard to go with it. It really needed something. The only other thing was that the staff need to be shown how to clean tables properly. As I previously said the Sunday lunch was worth every penny.
Came in today and had lunch. Absolutely lovely food. Quite busy and the decor is amazing.
Only snag for me was that a lot of staff and not doing much. You would come to counter and the staff would ignore you and walk straight Pass you. Some cakes not available and one said if you can’t see it. It’s not available. I’ve been in the hosptity industry for a long time and this is not a way to do it.
Also I think a uniform would be nice to identify staff members.
Just would like to say Anna one of the waitresses was absolutely amazing bless her. She seemed to be the only one clearing plates etc.... she was so helpful and polite
Will come again. Thankyou
Think the pricing of an all day breakfast needs looking at. Big breakfast is with toast £5.50. All day breakfast is the same as big breakfast but it's swapped toast for a few chips which bumps price up to £7.95 don't really see the need for chips with hash browns? Food was tasty & was delivered quickly, not one member of staff looked like they wanted to be there
Today sun 1st April. Very disappointed with quality of Mediterranean parcel over cooked in fact BURNT,Mashed Potato cold, cauliflower cheese over cooked, (like puree) My other half had roast chicken which she said was OK . Complained to waitress who handled it with expertise. Said no charge for mine. When paid at till Heather also dealt professional and said she would inform the cook WON'T BE RUSHING BACK . Seen a few reviews about bad staff but must say the staff that served me were very attentive Hope the owners reads these reviews and comments thank you
Sadly I cannot rate this fully as we were unable to eat there. We called in today on the off chance that there would be room for us without booking. There were a lot of reserved tables so we asked a member of staff if there was a spare table and where we could sit. We were directed to a table with armchairs. The decor is lovely and the menu was good. We decided to order a bowl of cawl and a jacket potato. I went to the counter to order. I was the only person at the counter and there were 3 staff there together discussing something. Not one of them looked up to acknowledge me and I was left standing there for what seemed like an age & I felt like a bit of a spare part. Eventually someone bothered to talk to me and when I said I would like to order please I was told I couldn't have lunch at our table & that it was only for coffee & cakes. I understood due to the soft furnishings, although a bit put out that no-one had asked before directing us there whether we intended to actually eat at that table. I asked if there were any other tables and the member of staffed pulled a face when I stated I hadn't booked. OK, I said, can we eat outside then? Evidently not! There is a beautiful balcony with lots of tables (all empty) and I was told they don't serves lunches outside. We just upped and left as I felt they didn't actually want to serve us. Such a shame as looked lovely. I don't think we'll be going back in a hurry.
Disappointing visits so far. First visit - afew spare tables but told an hour and a half wait for food, so we left. Popped in today for quick coffee at 3.45pm and told 'we are closing at 4'. Would not serve coffee...so you really close at 3.45pm then! Not v polite either!
