MATS (Martial Arts Training School) was opened in January 2014 by Sensei George Andrews, 8th Dan IOGKF.
Mats Description
Sensei George Andrews opened the famous Marble Factory 40 years ago in May 1974. Many of karate’s most famous names trained at the dojo. In 1998 the dojo was tragically destroyed in a fire. The following year, Sensei George opened the Institute of Traditional Karate-Do in the Heygate Estate, Walworth. As part of a massive regeneration plan, the estate is being demolished and Sensei George has moved on again. The new full time dojo, MATS, opened in January 2014 in Peckham.
