What can I say it’s the best... food is delicious and staff on point

The fact that this place was so busy was obviously a good sign. The service was not affected by this, lovely ladies in there and happy to help. The guests even seemed to be all friendly too lol perhaps the food spreads good vibes.... very good pie n mash, would def visit again!

The best pie & mash shop around for miles. Friendly staff, good value and an even better taste. Pies are plentiful (not air pies), and mash is real. Well worth a visit if you want to taste the real food of the East End. :-)

Oh my goodness! Travelled from Manchester to visit a company on business which happens to be round the corner from here! I'd been looking forward to coming for ages and now I don't think I can visit London without making this the place I have lunch! The people who work there/run it are so lovely, the place and kitchen is immaculate and the pie, mash and liquor sooooo good! Thank you! Loved it �

My 1st time there as visiting my daughter and brand new Grandson. I travelled up Hertfordshire so my daughter was keen to take me to her local for Pie & Mash and what a great experience it was too!. You get just what it says on the tin. Im a real meat lover so the steak pie with mash and lashings of gravy went down a real treat. Friendly welcoming staff who made the extra effort for us moving tables and chairs in order for us to bring the babys pushchair in. When you go be prepared for a busy atmosphere as this is clearly a popular spot amongst the locals. They do take away also and even cater for the Veggies! ill definitely go back.

Love the grub and always lovely friendly staff every time I've been there.

It is by far the best tasting pie and mash in the world. Plus they do cheeky small pies so you can double double and a half.

I've been eating pie n mash for 45 years and Nowhere have I found anything better than this. All the staff know you by name and couldn't be nicer.

Go to Mauteen's when ever we go into London and leave with more than we eat in. Great pie n mash with liquor + chilli vinegar👌🍽👌

Brilliant. I travel from North London to go to Maureens as it is without the best for miles around. The girls who serve are brilliant too and always put themselves out for me as I am disabled. They make up my order and bring it to their back door, as I park just outside and can't do the walk to the front of the shop. THE BEST!!!!

Best pie and mash in London

Been eating pie n mash here for 50+ years - it's the best!!! Moved out of the area, but have family still there so come back for it often!

Try it, you won't be disappointed!

As someone who lives in the east end , if you want Pie and Mash that is outstanding in every way , get to Chrisp Street in Poplar for a real treat

Absolutely delicious pie n mash, great atmosphere and the warmest, friendly welcome you will ever get. We felt like we were visiting friends not going to a restaurant for the first time.

If you're in the area get to Maureen's, if you're not in the area still go to Maureen's you won't regret it!

A quick detour on route to O2 today, so glad I saw a post about your place last night on the cockney Bible page, wonderful being able to at long last enjoy propper pie mash once again, happy days �
