About Mayfair Sporting Club

Mayfair Sporting Club Limited

Mayfair Sporting Club Description

The Mayfair Sporting Club was formed by Michael Helliet in 2003. The first event was held at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square and sold out well in advance as the club drew widespread accllaim from boxing afeccionados and uninitiated first timers alike. The surreal combination of fine dining with live professional sport in some of London's most exclusive venues proved to be very popular.

In November 2004 the club's MD Michael Helliet signed an exclusive contract with the Cafe Royal to become their house promoter and immediately the Mayfair Sporting Club's headquarters were moved to the historic London venue. The first event organised at the Cafe Royal was in support of ex-boxers' charity Triumph over Adversity and the charity's founder, former WBU World Lightweight champion Colin 'Dynamo' Dunne was guest of honour.

Since it's inception the Mayfair Sporting Club has grown and is now recognised as the market leader for black tie boxing dinners. Helliet now promotes more events than any other boxing promoter in the UK.
