Went back for dinner whilst syaying overnight in london. Owner remembered myself and my girlfriend, dedpite us not having eaten there in over a year. Food was excellent, service was excellent and the cocktails were some of the best ive had. This place is truely one of the best places to eat in islington.
This place is one of the best we have been to as a Meathouse it is what the NAME is a fantastic Meathouse where yiu get good meat and even there veg options is fantastick. The cocktails is out of this world and the staff that will make sure you are looked affter. Do make sure if you are in London you need to go.
This place is amazing, the staff are out of this world , will bend over backwards for you, as for the food, Great portions great tastes great quality. Well done to all of you who work there. οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
The meal we had tonite is the best we have had in our 4 day visit to London
Brendon had the 17oz "Tomahawk steak'
Tracey the "Morrocan Lamb shank"
Isaac the "Beef Burger"
And I had the "Chicken Steak with pepper sauce"
The service, presentation and flavours would leave Gordon Ramsay speechless...... and we all know how much he likes the sound of his own voice
I wouldnt hesitate to fully reccomend this establishment to anyone who whould like a great meal with friendly staff and good ambience..
Liked it so much that we all pitched in and left a good tip for the staff and as Kiwi's we come from a country where unlike in the U.S.A we dont [usually] tip so that shows how much it was appreciated
Lovely atmosphere, Friendly staff, Fantastic tasty high quality food! Theres vegetarian food too. Food portions are good and the drinks are really nice. Went to meat house for a birthday celebration, The staff kindly kept our cake in the fridge until we finished our meals then brang it out with the candles already lit which was nice, they also let us bring big balloons in and keep them by our booth table. Toilets are clean. I will definitely go back again and would recommend it 100%.
Thank you meat house team for a lovely service and fantastic food.
I've been a few times before and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
We never leave without trying a few Cocktails.
Highly recommended.
I was completely Happy and loved the food. Highly recommendable is the half Chicken lemon/herbs.. .its terrific!!
The Burger next day was very Good too.
Plus a very kind Service...will always likely return again when beeing here.
Hands down Best steak house Iv ever been to... From the entry to the place to the exit, service π―
Food was amazing, must try the tomahawk rib eye on the bone...
Me and the Mrs will be coming again.... not to forget the little one πͺ
Keep it up guys..
Delicious food. If you like meat then you'll love Meat House. Jumbo prawns were delicious too. Will visit again.
Amazing five star services and food, The best steak I've ever had, Nice friendly staff , lovely atmosphere ! Delicious cocktails .... Perfect
Amazing experience as always. The burgers are scrumptious and the mojitoβs are the best ive had. Keep going back and its down to excellent customer service coupled with the food.
found Meat House while walking round trying to find a place that did a decent steak, great staff and the food was spot on. We had the lamb chops for starters followed by rib eye steaks... delicious and next time we are in london from liverpool, will definately try again.
Well in Nash and all the staff, best of luck for the future
We went there yesterday. I had the short ribs and my husband had a burger. The ribs were delicious it just melted in my mouth I will definitely go back for the ribs. Burger wasn't great for a Β£12 burger. We got lamb chops for starters nothing great about the lamb shops was the frozen ones. Reece's milkshake was great though got seconds. Also, got desert chocolate cake which wasn't worth it for Β£6 it was tiny with a little bit of cream on the side. Β£68 meal, not all of it was worth it. Overall it was a good experience, friendly helpful staff but the optional service charge was added on my bill without asking which I thought was a little rude.
Upon entering the Meat House the ambience is really nice with some soft mood lighting and a modern decor, we were given a choice of two tables but requested the booth as it looked more comfortable to which they obliged without any hesitation. We ordered the mixed grill, the lamb ribs and a burger having opting out of the starters as we presumed the mains would be large enough. The menu states the mixed grill is great for sharing but still can be consumed by one person. When it arrived I must say i was surprised the beef sausages were two mini chipolatas and the king prawns were three normal sized prawns on a stick. The steak was not much to shout about no flavour and bland but the chicken was amazing. The burger with rosemary fries was excellent really juicy and tender definatly go back for that but if I am honest the prices are quite high Β£30 for the mixed grill and 6.50 for a mocktail more expensive than the bars in the city. Overall it was nice it's a shame that we would have to think twice about going there because of the prices.
Food was tasty although a bit expensive. Beer was lacking in variety and I couldn't find a decent ale, ended up having to order a lager. You kind of expect a real cask ale at a meat house.
Food was great especially the starters... however the main courses came up before the starters and when we asked why the reply was the chefs forgot... there were only two tables occupied on a Saturday lunch time. However they took back the mains and brought us our fresh starters. Bit pricey but friendly staff and we're professional about the mishap. Would go again.
Was visiting from Glasgow with a colleague. Service was very slow. Menu was good but the execution left a lot to be desired. No finger bowl with grilled prawns or my colleagues chicken wings and my main arrived without the extra side order and the slaw that came with the meal. I had to ask for both and, when the slaw came it was off. There was no apology for the missing dishes. When the bill came there was an optional service charge added and, on presenting my credit card, the service charge was automatically added. All in a poor experience and I won't be back. Given that our offices are in this area, I will also be speaking the word to my colleagues.
Meat quality good no doubt but for Β£65 for 2 people, portions VERY small, steak a little bigger than an average hand palm size...onion rings hollow, very oily and 5 rings for Β£4 was way over the top...had high expectations but will not be going back sadly....
This place is the worst place in London because:
1) Waiters was slow and hevy like they live in daydream.
2) Food and drink was expensive and tastes and look like they colect them and make in rubbish bin.
3) All place was dirty and table where i seat was stick like somebody put glue.
4) Athmosfere was weak and it felt like not existed.
5) When i paid for meal and i want to go home they call me inbecyl and theft when i didin't do nothing wrong.
6) I had ocasion to seat near the kitchen so i heard what shefs talking about: they was vulgar and thet says sexual things about clients, menagers, staff and everbody who they meet.
I am not only desapointed for been there i was bad to my self to waste my money and time.
If you think to go there change plans and do some charity.
You will fell better with that than be in that place.
